China has 7 new military bases in S. China Sea: U.S. | ABS-CBN News

Saying silly things don't make it true.

China's 195 km undersea pipeline will start extracting South China Sea natural gas.

China's billion-dollar offshore oil platform Haiyang Shiyou 981 has drilled wells in the South China Sea in the search for oil.

The US has zero presence in South China Sea oil and natural gas exploration and extraction.
Deny the truth only lead u to collapse. VN-US drilling oil in block 118 Blue whale is inside nine dash line and it is protected by US warships

It won't produce any natural gas until 2023. Let's wait five years and see if China will allow any gas to leave the Blue Whale.

We do not know if China will deploy its navy to prevent any transport ships to carry gas from the Blue Whale. This is the naval blockade strategy.

China has more warships and submarines in the South China Sea than the United States. The Chinese Navy will become larger by 2023. The outcome of Blue Whale in 2023 is currently unknown.

In five more years, China will have built a fleet of J-20 stealth fighters to patrol the South China Sea. China will have about 100-200 more J-20 stealth fighters to assert battlespace control over the Blue Whale.

You can't count your chickens until they hatch. Until Vietnam proves it can extract one shipload of gas from the Blue Whale, it currently means nothing.
----------

Will China allow the completion of the Blue Whale extraction facility and send in Chinese marines to take possession of the facility? We won't know until 2023.

Wait till 2023 seem too late for CN, blue whale oil rig is US's property. If CN damage it,then the whole US ppl will get angry and demand sanction on CN. Pls note that Russia dare not attack US base in Syria now when Russia army is much stronger than usless PLAN that was defeated in 2014 oil rig conflict

If CN dare not stop it now, then CN never dare to damage the rig in 2023

what a great joke, according to the map, Viet drill oil within their 200 nm economic zone what is the big deal about that:rofl:
But the oil basin is also lie inside nine dash line.Just like VN has a half of the oil pool and CN has another half. When VN suck oil on our side, oil in CNs side also will be sucked

In 2023, China will have 100 to 200 J-20 stealth fighters controlling the sky over the South China Sea.

China has air superiority. The US naval ships will do nothing and only watch as Chinese marines take control of the Blue Whale.

China pays the US compensation for the cost of building the Blue Whale.

The Blue Whale is under Chinese control and the US is paid for the construction.

Another possibility is China will declare war on Vietnam for violating China's maritime border.

Since Vietnam is drilling in Chinese territory and not respecting China's maritime border, China is under no obligation to respect Vietnam's (land) border. This is the principle of reciprocity.

China declares war and conquers Vietnam. According to the the eon-old rule of war, as the victor, China will keep whatever territory it feels like. This will eliminate the Blue Whale problem. Vietnam will no longer extract Chinese gas from the Blue Whale.

The United States has 11 aircraft carrier battle groups.

Yet, the US never tried to stop China from reclaiming and militarizing its South China Sea islands.

Why?

If the US Navy attempted to stop Chinese island construction, China's PLA would most likely have marched into Outer Mongolia with its ICBMs

Would you stop this nonsense stuff about the US military trying to stop China’s island building. The US acknowledges that somebody in the area owns those islands it just hasn’t been determined who. It could be the Chinese...but it certainly isn’t us. To say we want to go in there and blow up your stuff just to have some ruling a year later saying it was already yours all along is just stupid talk.

The US is just saying until it has been determined who those islands belong to China building on them and claiming sovereignty isn’t going to be recognized. That’s why they cruise the US Navy ships past them.

That's not what Defense Secretary Mattis said.

The United States had explicitly said it would NOT ACCEPT Chinese militarization of the South China Sea islands.

China went ahead and did it anyway. Why did the US back down?

I suggested the Chinese retaliation of erecting 500 DF-41 ICBMs (with a total of 5,000 thermonuclear warheads in Outer Mongolia) was unpalatable to the United States.

CN pilots has Zero combat experience, they r also cowards like all of Cnese on PDF, thats why PLAN lost in oil rig conflict in 2014. US oil rig there is also protected by US warships patrolling around, PLAN must sink them before damaging the rig and PLAN dare not sink them cos hundreds US sailors will be killed.

Declare war against VN is also bad choice. Hundred thousands PLA troops will die again after 1979 and they wont accept to die now, they will kill your corrupted generals who only good at robbing tax instead

You can say whatever you want. I don't care.

The crucial moment will be 2023. Can Vietnam offload a shipload of gas from the Blue Whale?

What is China's response?

The only way to find out is to wait and see.

only Cnese must sit, wait and see cos u guys can not do anything now while Vnese keep drilling, keep building oil rig, US warships keep patrolling to protect the rig.

CN is just like JP in ww2 now, sitting duck is also dead, attacking US warship protecting the rig is dead even faster

It won’t accept China’s militarizing the islands as the defacto basis of claiming ownership of the islands. Again that’s why US Navy ships keep driving by those islands. Nobody has EVER mentioned attacking them. We keep driving by and you guys keep screaming about it.

Declaring war on Vietnam because we drill in our waters? No longer China peaceful rise? Are you full of...?

China airforce has never fought a modern aerial battle, while Vietnamese pilots outperformed US counterparts in numerous air battles in a real war. We will see how your pilots perform outside of staged exercises. As for J20, in case you haven’t noticed Vietnam air defence has both passive and active radars capable to detect stealth aircraft, including missiles such as R77 air to air missile, that Su30 can carry to shoot down stealth enemy aircraft. Chinese leaders should question themselves if it is worth to sacrifice young chinese lives for nothing.

Better for US not push their luck further, soon or later China will have to find out the way to tackle this. They just don't want deeper conflict, dealing with US is like dealing with monkey in the room with grenade in it hand.

Why do you keep trying to distort the words of Defense Secretary Mattis?

He never said the US will NOT ACCEPT Chinese militarization of the South China Sea islands "as a basis for claiming ownership," which are words that you chose to add on your own.

Look at the quote from Mattis. It plainly says the US will not accept Chinese militarization of the South China Sea islands PERIOD.

The New York Times said the United States showed "REMARKABLE DEFERENCE TOWARD BEIJING."

I'm trying to explain the reason the US is showing "remarkable deference" to China in the South China Sea.

Something is holding the US back from unleashing its 11 aircraft carrier battlegroups on the reclaimed Chinese militarized South China Sea islands.

That something is much more important than the South China Sea. What could that possibly be? I'm guessing 500 Chinese DF-41 ICBMs in Outer Mongolia with 5,000 thermonuclear warheads is the reason.

Trump’s Turn Toward China Curtails Navy Patrols in Disputed Zones | The New York Times (May 2, 2107)

"The decision not to challenge China’s territorial claims represents a remarkable deference toward Beijing from an administration that is increasingly turning toward President Xi Jinping for help amid the escalating crisis in the Korean Peninsula. It remained unclear on Tuesday whether it was Defense Secretary Jim Mattis; Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; or one of their deputies who turned down the three requests. Defense officials said the White House was not involved." (fourth paragraph)

My advice to PLAF: they should keep using Mig 17 instead of J 20 cos it will be shoot down easily by VN air defense system anyway, not mentioning that Cnese pilots are just clowns in sky comparing with VN ACE pilots during VN war

Why don’t you use the official stance of the US on this issue instead of focusing on playing games interpreting the wording made by him. Even if he said the whole South China Sea should be owned by Ethiopia that doesn’t reflect the official policy of the US.
