China greets PM Modi with wrong map of India, Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh missing

I mentioned Chinese suzerainty over Tibet to illustrate the legitimacy of Chinese rule vis-a-vis Indian's Northeastern states, a point which you debated. Regarding the so called violation of rights, it is not a simple yes or no answer. Put things in context, in the war torn era, no side will adhere to old agreement, its either you gain territory or you lose. This applies to every country. PRC was established as an unitary state, not a federation. Tibet had to be incorporated into China. However, it was accorded autonomous status rather than a province.

I bought up Mizoram air strike only to encounter you point that India did not use force, China did.

Since you know China is not democratic, the issue of electoral process is irrelevant. No, Tibet cannot have electoral process as it is incorporated into PRC, reasons I already mentioned in first paragraph. Lets be honest, India will never agree to a Kashmir plebiscite even if Pakistan and China willing to redraw the lines. Thats politics.
Two things, my friend. Tibetan territorial divinity had been violated not during war time; It was before revolution, first and second world war. Monasteries ravaged, ancient names altered to new ones when China had only control over foreign affairs of Tibet as it was accepted in Lhasa convention in 1908. Internal affairs of the region belonged to the yellow hats. Secondly, Mizoram was bombed twenty years after it came under Indian republic, not the time of annexation. There is a difference.I am not here to challenge China's legitimacy over its presently held territories. What I am disappointed is the way India's legitimacy over its boundaries are being challenged by China. Its not going to alter anyway but the behavior is just juvenile.

Leading up to 1911s, the country was effectively war torn internally and externally. British already sent troops to Tibet, if Chinese didnt act, Tibet would be gone, no? Lets be honest. Post WW2, even Nehru and Patel were eyeing Tibet. If China didnt repel India in 62, you bet part of Tibet is now India. What will you say about violating Tibet rights or sovereignty in this case?

Historically India has no legitimacy over Northeast, the lines were drew by the British unilaterally. Since theres no 3rd party dispute over northeastern, they are Indias. But Arunachal is different, it was part of Tibet<China.

It doesnt simply matter if it was part of Tibet or nor what matters is that today the land is India
Anyways its futile to discuss on that topic with stable leadership in both countries we are probably moving towards a border solution which will benefit both the countries
