After reading all your posts, I do believe that the best option for the Navy to go with is the Stealth Submarines armed with both conventional and unconventional SLBMs and cruise missiles. Thats the most feasible way out for Pak Navy... the more stealth subs the better. We should have enough subs to spawn the indian coastline. Also we must have some naval UAVs.

However a Naval air arm is a Must. No question about it.

stealth subs are very expensive. on pakitsan's limited budget, spawning the indian coastline with stealth subs is just not feasible.

man there are no stelath subs in the worls what makes sub sealth how much submarine can dive some subs dive lower so they can be detected by any sonar system some subs like U 214 dive upt 200 meters for a month so it is very hard to detect. check out this and you get it indian subs and pak subs.

are you telling me that current and future acquisition of PN surface fleet wont be able to support one single AC? their is no point of taking AC up indian coast as it will be suicidal for AC and supporting fleet...

Now can you see what an AC requirement is, u cant just have a floating platform with planes on it sitting as ducks to be targeted aqnd you cant have only 1 or 2 ships guarding it.

PN is already 50% below its required number of naval vessels
PN needs at least below number of equipments before it can even think of buying an AC, and 7 to 9 supporting ships for the whole AC group.

This is PN ideal requirement, We could have achieved this requirement if our govt was not corrupt and uneducated. You are welcome to advise only if you have more knowledge or information with proof.

12 Medium frigates, type 54 chinese, US OHP frigate
10 Corvettes Malgiam class or F22P(I think are larger corvettes with only difference of 500 tons displacement)

12 Submarines with the likes of agosta 90, U214 and yuan class

I DONT THINK PAK NAVY NEEDS AC OR NAVAL VERSION OF JF-17, THEY SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON GETTING TYPE 52 DESTROYER FROM CHINA AND U-214 SUBMARINES FROM GERMANY.

THAT WILL BE A GREAT DETERENT.

If we get type 054A under TOT it will be gr8..also if we fund the marlin class subs program..heard that Marlin class are superior to U-214..bt they are nt available because pakistan was supposed to fund the project..also heard that marlin class sub share some similar tech with french N subs..i think it was baracuda

I think its a good move if China develops Naval version JF-17 for aricraft carrier, cuz it takes a missile to sink an Aircraft carrier, so if china have J10 or J11 at the time then it will be a very heavy loss but if JF17 then their loss will be comparatively less
