No I haven't see the movie but I guess you probably Vietnam meant wasn't exactly innocent either in the war.
The fact of the matter is all wars are dirty and Vietnam is on the virtue high round here because she was defending for the survivals of her people and her sovereignty. Anything goes for her.
You know about Mai Lai? That was the worst atrocity by far an army can commit against civilians. How ironic the US and the west claim to be 'peace loving nations'.
The old enemy run away, USA paid for mine and orange agent clearance and his ally Japan, Newzewland, Australia ... paid for reconstruction for infrastructure of Vietnam.
But chinese backed Khmer Rouge to invaded Vietnam and themselves brutally killed over 100,000 innocent Vietnamese 1979, but dirty enemy didn't say apologize to Vietnamese people. It's differences between USA with his ally and China.
