China Blasts U.S. Debt Problems, Urges New Global Reserve Currency

Nope. First Mongols then Japanese and then because of century of humiliation. :P

That was so uncalled for mate. :disagree:

Greece, Portugal, Netherlands, Denmark, France, and Britain -- all of which had total domination over India. It seems India was a colonial vacation spot for Europeans. Indians today love anything and everything Europe, possibly due to their own natural inferiority? And perhaps even back then too, maybe that's why they kept coming back.

You don't see Chinese posters writing about the end of science if the Anglos collapse?? Do you??

If you look at any Japanese survey, they are scared sh!tless of China right now because they know payback's a *****.

Oh don't worry. We won't have to lift a muscle, because your leaders will hand it over to us as collateral.
There is a saying in America, that the man who has a loan of a million dollar is worried about paying it back to the bank, but the man who has a loan of a thousand million dollars, the bank is worried about getting paid back. China is not 19th-century Britain or France and cannot enforce loan repayment through occupation abroad, and the amount of U.S. assets within China itself is a small fraction of the amount owed, much less than the political damage that China would incur by their seizure. (That's the downside of forbidding foreigners to own property.)

You're kidding, right?? China can nationalize the American ownership stakes in GM China, IBM, Yum! Brands, McDonalds, Coca-Cola China, HP, Ford, et cetera and that's just the non-financial assets. Then there's the financial assets at Citibank, Morgan Stanley China, et cetera. The US equity markets will easily be wiped out of $1.3 Trillion.

And we haven't even moved on to Hong Kong.

Maybe you are right! Still, pushing a debtor too hard is rarely wise.

China wants a new reserve currency but in order to move a currency into foreign holdings one must be willing to hold debt in that currency; foreigners don't hold others' currency without assurance of returns. The Europeans tried that - weakly - but Greece ruined that. What is left?

The Eurozone and Japan are not economically stable enough to replace the Dollar.

The remaining alternative to the Dollar, is IMF special drawing rights.

That is based on a basket of currencies. However, it still bases most of its value on the US Dollar, the Euro, and Japanese Yen.

So many of the same problems remain.

Don't put wrong info, if you don't know ABC of History. It was Only U.K. (99% cases). Not India but India and Present Pakistan and Bangladesh too. Even US, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, most of the Africa was also under U.K.. Whole Latin America was under Spain/Portugal What's the point ?? Nothing But troll with 0 Knowledge as usual ??

We don't have any problem with Europe and U.S. Indeed, US debt crisis won't have any major impact on India. We are not export oriented country. We have always superiority complex even 3,000 years back when India was Ahead than China via Silk Route. Read history and stop troll fiesta. You should worry about yourself more and stop thinking about India. India is capable for everything on own.

US is a special case, we were not colonised, we were the colonisers.

Not really mate.

You guys were colonised too, but you just got independence too early with the help of French.

What do you think was the need of 'American culture'? What was the need to call Football a 'Soccer'? What was the need to drive on the right side of the road? Why do you guys still use Imperial units? Seriously Inches and miles are far too complicated than cm and km.

American culture = Chinaging everything Brits did and erasing every single sign of colonisation. :)

We were? By whom? If I was native American you could claim that, but it is not like in Asia. My people have never been colonised...I am decended from those that came to colonise. Different situation. The population was never as large as in Asia, and had been decimated by disease before we came (brought by adventurers, and up from Mexico from the Spanish)

By one of the countries I represent. [and it's not India :P guess who? :P ]

Independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain
- Declared July 4, 1776
- Recognized September 3, 1783
- Current constitution June 21, 1788

Who do you think ruled America before it became the 'oldest democracy'? :)

American Revolutionary War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Who do you think American were fighting and why were they fighting? :)

You are missing the point, Einstein. WE WERE THE BRITISH. It was a civil war, we were not foriegners ruled by Britain, we were British.

It would be comparable to the British in India fighting the home islands, not to Indians themselves fighting for independence.

Those who fought were decended from British sent to colonise, not people who had been colonised, you can tell the difference, can't you?

Double standards. And British Americans are only 13% of today's population. They're less than Italian/German/Irish/French Americans. Yeah most of Americans have part British in them but not British. You can't have both. You can't have 'American culture' and claim to be British as well. :)

SO technically you guys were colonised. :)

Technically, we weren't. As far as changing culture, the fact we are speaking together shows it hasn't changed much. Are you familiar with Carthage? It was a Phoneician Colony. It changed and was independent, but wasn't invaded by Phoneicians, it was founded by them. If you think it was the same as the colonisation of India, then you admit India was founded by Brits? Lol, Congrats, we are homies after all!

No I haven't. I wasn't talking in the lines of India, Pakistan. I was talking in the lines of Canada, Australia. If they are considered colonised then
American is colonised as well since they have British ancestory as well. :)

And even though we speak the same language we don't use it in the same prospective. We say 'mate' and you guys say 'homies'. lool :P Btw I was just pulling your leg. Chill :)
