Ford lays foundation for $1B India factory

MUMBAI, India -- Ford Motor Co. laid the cornerstone for a new $1 billion dollar factory in India on Thursday, pressing ahead with expansion plans despite an uncertain outlook for Asia's No. 3 economy where growth in car sales has recently waned.

Ford's plant will have the capacity to manufacture 240,000 cars and 270,000 engines a year when it's complete in 2014. The factory will produce cars for domestic consumers and for export.

Holy$hit, why would India concern about it, they have their own government to take it with the US. The Bhopal incident happened in India, and that is why Indian government asked the company to come to trial and pay for the damages, if your so stupid enough to not see what happened then that not my fault. Over 2000 to 3000 people died and 200,000 people's health were affected, there still people who die from cancer and birth defects to this day.
