China-backed projects testament to Sri Lanka's mismanagement

Chinese are simply following Russian imperialism playbook here, which they themselves were a victim of

Li–Lobanov Treaty

After the first Sino Japanese war, Chinese were a bankrupt nation due to the indemnity owed to Japan

Russians seeing an opportunity for more peaceful expansion of its buffers agreed to provide loans to China in return for following concessions in Northeast China-
  • Leasing Lushan port to Russia
  • Russian police and personal to exercise Russian Law over these regions
  • Russian troops deployment to protect Russian interests
Which pretty much meant Northeast China is only Chinese in name

CCP today is aping these strategies of colonial and imperial powers

Its well aware Sri Lanka cannot affords these ports and eventually will settle for several concessions - diplomatic, territorial etc

Also Sri Lanka was invaded by Chinese in the past during the Ming era
Ming–Kotte War
The Language Chinese used for Sri Lankans is interesting

Yang Rong (1515) about the confrontation in Ceylon

This provided them a outpost for further voyages to southern Africans kingdoms

In today's era, this will be an outpost for monitoring India, Deigo Garcia and also Chinese interests in southern Africa.

This was very interesting. I think that the Chinese traders have been to South Indian shores as well. But don't think there was an invasion 🤔

You Indians as usual just fart too much about Chinese matters all the time, try to smear and discredit Chinese activities around the world now.

. . . . .
Anything can be claimed as national importance. Compensation has to be paid regardless.
Why China still has Darwin port in their nemesis Australia?
With your logic ,nobody will ever invest in post or infrastructure anywhere.
Lol. Of course it can. That's the whole point of sovereign assets and resources of national importance. And of course, firms will invest - that's how business works.

Good suggestion.
Sri Lanka should kick out all Indians too from their beautiful island.
That's their call - it's their island. But this thread is abut Chinese investments in Lanka - for insecurities you have about India - please post in the appropriate thread.

.
Lol indians are back and hype these days on pdf

.
Unsure what you are upto, but Sri Lankan Tamils are Sri Lankan civilians and not Indians.
Just like how Operation Searchlight was unleashed upon fellow Pakistani civilians and not Bangladeshis.
Noble of you to educate them the concepts of nation states, nationality and ethnic identities

The Indian man's burden needs alot help

.
Lol. As opposed to Chinese education and culture - if one can even call it that with some generosity?

All states have sovereign rights over resources of national importance - go read Article 1803 of the UN. Only "appropriate compensation" will be provided.

Lol - were you the Economic Advisor to Xi?
Again

All states have sovereign rights over resources of national importance - go read Article 1803 of the UN.
Did I ever say any state doesn't have sovereignty over their natural resources? ? ?

Again , scamming attitude and lack of integrity is clearly evident,
you highlighted the word "only" in a sneaky manner before the "appropriate compensation part".
Yes,appropriate compensation has to be provided for the huge 1.3 billion chinese investment SL procured,1.3 B onwards sum that SL borrowed ,SL gov have to bear in case of nationalization .

"...In such cases the owner shall be paid appropriate compensation, in accordance with the rules in force.."-1803 (XVII). Permanent sovereignty over natural resources.

Nobody denied a nation has sovereign rights over their own natural resources don't be such a slowpoke.
I'm talking about the compensation the nation has to bear to pay off the investors.
The notion that SL should nationalize ports and bear the humongous competition fees while being already under economic duress ,make sense only in anti china -Indian troll's head, not for average srilankan.

Lol. Please don't clutch at straws now that you have been proven to be either lying or being completely ignorant. More likely both.

Another shabby attempt , u pull that from typical TFI expert on china .

SL can take over their ports anytime by nationalization, just that they have to pay huge sum,it will be a burden ,but it's doeable if national sovereignty is at risk.

In 18th and early 19th century ,nations didn't had that right.

Mutual troop stationing is a common practice in globalized world, China doesn't have any military in SL ,but if it does,it will
be based on a mutually agreed treaty, SL can order the Chinese troops to leave any time unlike during colonial era.

So such shoddy attempt of trying to compare colonial era imperialist maneuvers to the current world order is just....dumb.

Chinese never wanted to take over SL ,they simply deposed the South Indian puppet king and replaced him with Parakramabahu VI, currently that would be akin to China deposing Indian puppet gov in SL and erecting a local gov .
So ,neither China nor SL consider it as hostile colonial invasion.SL is nothing more than a stop over for the fleet of Zheng He.
Indian experts and fake media are desperate to try and frame CHina - SL relationship like British-India where the british took over India.

Lol. Please don't clutch at straws now that you have been proven to be either lying or being completely ignorant. More likely both.
Which part did I lie ? evidence?

U don't even have an argument ,just running the mouth only for the sake of it,if u have nothing to add factually just stop replyiing.
