Who will US intervene for though? It certainly won't be for Vietnam when it has more loyal allies in the region like the Phillipines.

China might count on wining without US intervention but the other countries expect to with US intervention. For all the South Asians blustering here the US has shown little interest in war.

Simply reason, we're in the middle of ASEAN, who can control VIetNam will control the whole ASEAN. the important shipping line of CHina-Korea-Japan pass throught VN's EEZ also, so if China can control VN, they can control Japan-Taiwan-Korea also.

What kind of dream bro ??Every one know that we're in the center of ASEAN and having important shipping line paasing by.That the reason why US fought a bloody war with US in 20 year just tried to control this shipping line and restrain CHina's invasion to the South also.
