Philippines
Taiwan
Brunei
Japan
Australia
Vietnam

It would be wise for the Chinese to call it a day, pack up and quietly go home. After all there's a limit to how much the Chinese can blow hot air and rant and rave at all the countries listed above.

Certainly. You are right. But then again, east Asia is not at all as easy as it looks. In fact, Russia and China also share a lot of tension which they downplay due to their joint "stand against NATO" policy. In fact, Asia itself as a whole is very complex if you ask me.

Pan-Asian alliances are not possible even within similar types of countries. For example:

- Pakistan itself is divided about whether to support you Turks or Saudis or Iranians because of internal different sub-religious schools of thought there. The Shiite Pakistanis are in favor of Iran while Sunni majority favor Arabs as potential mentors of Pakistan while the pan-Islamic sorts prefer you over either.

- Another example being that despite Pakistan being an Islamic country, it has been loggerheads with Afghanistan as well even though both share religion.

- Similarly, China and Russia have alliance against Japan but there's a lot of mistrust between them as well.

- South Korea and Japan dislike China but both don't like each other as well.

- ASEAN countries have a lot of inner discomfort though they collectively don't like Beijing's belligerence.

- We and the Chinese have had 2,000 years of friendship but today are on the opposite sides.

- Saudi and Yemen are both Arab and Islamic and still don't like each other at all.

- Jordan is Arab but still had to get rid of Palestinian rebellion with Pakistani assistance.

- Iraq and Kuwait are Arabs & Islamic and still went on a war.


So in short, Asia is a pretty difficult place to form alliances.
