I don't know, I can only go by what I hear, and what I heard is that. So while you would point holes in what I hear, is it not possible that what you hear could also be wrong?

History from pretty much end of the 1800s, to more or less 10 years ago has not been kind to China. So whatever happened in this period can at least be said not to our full satisfaction.
