China against setting artificial time limit for UN Security Council reform

veto power is given to very powerful nations with global influence.

what power does india have?
india dont even have regional influence.

people are grossly exaggerating india's capabilities, its still a very very poverty stricken nation that depends heavily on foreigners to provide food and aid.

india wants veto power just because they have a big population, well u dont get power based on how many humans u breed.

india is a third world nation still, for all their growth, they barely have any industry.
just because of the big populations of china and india, indians like to think they are some kind of competitor to china, but in reality, china is so far ahead of india in so many things, its a non-comparison.

the comparisons between china and india is only in population size, in everything else china is ahead, well ahead, and in many areas in a different league to india.

india's competitor is pakistan, those 2 countries are similar in technolgy advancement, level of social development, infrastructure, industry, military capability, etc.

china is competing with the big boys like US, Russia, France, Germany, Japan in industries, technolgy, military, economy, global influence, etc.

india might join that list one day, but that is many many decades into the future.

NEVER ever, Let india be a part of UNSC.

Never, it will bite your sooner or later!
The only it is possible if it gives back the Chinese Tibet territories and Kashmir plus other Muslims majority states to Pakistan ..otherwise its only a dream..they can just think of while in bed with US....:)

Thanks for enlightening us!

Same rhetoric in all forums
India - inferior in all aspects, poverty, third world, dependent, puppets of XYZ, decades behind, dumb, and so on so forth.

Live the dreams away from reality!
Acknowledging the opponent's capabilities is the best bet in the real conflict (hard or soft power)

The 15-member Security Council has not changed since its creation following the Second World War.

So much for artificial time lines. If the UN continues to get bullied by countries that do not want to change the status quo then the significance of UN will get diluted as time passes.

The need for a G20 is not artificial and so is the need for reforms. Time lines cannot be artificial but planning and setting an estimated time by which the reforms should come in to being is primary. China can say what it wants. China tried to put spanners for the NSG waiver India got but finally India prevailed.

india simply should exist as there is no such nation called india in history.

Wake up kid , else you may just be leased away for another 99 years!!!:lazy:

Stop depending on Baidu and Xinhua news for all your daily dose of news !!!

FYI, veto power was never on the agenda. They just wanted to be permanent member. Other than the P5, the others are rotating members. In practice, being a member of the security council versus not being a member is not significantly different. What really makes a difference is whether you have veto power.

In other words, the only thing that is really valuable was never on the table. What was on the table is more symbolic.

NEVER give the indian dictatorship UNSC membership.

military dictatorships should never get UNSC.

india is now officially a threat to chinese national sovreignty as seen by india invading south china sea.

china must stop indian hegemony over asia.
china and pakistan must cooperate to stop the indian military dictatorship.

china must make it a priority that india is globally contained.
china must limit indian influence.

india is a US puppet state like israel is to the US.

Lolz. A PRC dystopian internet bot! Do you just parrot all this crap, or do have any thoughts of your own?

Yeah that's a good way to beg for investment from China.

Anyway, it is always amusing seeing China trying to stop India's peaceful rise.

Keep trying ....
I donno. Indian members here keep bragging about how Indian Army is battle hardened from massive earthshaking total wars, unlike PLA. So which is it, are you battle hardened or peaceful?

Many countries invest in China. So by your wierd logic China is a nation of beggars.
You need to take logic lessons. We are peaceful- we have never attacked anyone. We are battle-hardened- we have defended ourselves a number of times.

india simply doesn't deserve a permanent seat in UNSC.

a nation that couldn't even generate enough electricity for its citizens living in its capital city should never be treated as a world power. UNSC is not a loser club, it is an exclusive club that has the authority to decide the most important matters of the human race. india simply not qualfiied to be a permanent member.

period.

india in the security council?

dont make me laugh.

permanent member of the security council is given to powerful nations with global influence, what influence does india have on the global stage?

india is not that much ahead of pakistan, sri lanka and bangladesh in terms of influence and social development.

indians thinking they are some kind of challenge to china is beyond hilarious.
thats why china dont care indian opinions, because china knows india is not a challenge to china. so china dont waste time on mickey mouse countries like india.
