Chief of Naval Staff Discloses New Procurements: Shallow Water Attack Submarines, MALE UAVs & a new Helicopter Fleet

.
Not yet on China's export catalog.
Also still too new and naval untested in marine environment.
I also doubt French could scuttle the NH90 on their own entirely as they will also be under pressure from other program members. But it is possible. Good thing is NH90 has a folding tail boom and could potentially be used for shipborne ASW functions.
AW159 is a riskier option as it would be a one off since ASW variants don't exist. And with AW101, it does not carry any anti-ship missiles, just a torpedo.
Interesting options and pro & cons to deal with.

In my opinion z20 is the only option for pn that carries mist bang for a buck. If PN shows interest china can open this option up.

In pn only tanker can carry heli of 8-10 ton class like sea king or z20

z18 and z20 are both heavy duty and mostly z9 will go onboard ships not sure about 054a of they can carry 8-10 ton class heli

Type 54A/P and Milgum, both can support 10 Ton cetagory helicopter.

. . . . . .
We will have
4 ZulfIqar Class
6 Type 054
4 Jinnah Class
4 Milgem
2-6 multi-mission large "corvettes"
A new as yet unspecified frigate class with be entering service, plans for 6 of these.
That's a pretty big *** surface fleet, two dozen or so primary surface combatants not and that is seperatr including the coastal defence assets
The USN for compariosn has something like 100 surface combatants so this is a pretty substantial surfac fleet.

8 Hangor class submarines
An unknown number of coastal subs.

Not counting potential SSBN based.

.
India has:
1 aircraft carrier
1 amphibious transport dock
8 Landing ship tanks
10 destroyers
13 frigates,
1 nuclear-powered attack submarine
2 Nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine
15 conventionally powered attack submarines
23 corvettes
7 Landing Craft Utility
10 large offshore patrol vessels
4 fleet tankers

So we have some catching up to do.

I think a 2:1 ration with India is more then enough in all honesty, we are lucky our coastline is small and we have massive Chinese help.

You may also want to count Agosta 90B replacement, these will be seperate from Hangor and could well be Turkish MILDEM
