On what basis do you come to such a conclusion? CRPF is in fact the only force in India that has been trained to fight maoists. Nobody else has been specifically trained for that purpose - not the army, navy, air force, coast guard, ITBP, BSF, SSB...

There is already a serving member of the CRPF commenting on this thread, so I will leave it to him to explain.

Only force trained to fight Maoists with their hands tied and subpar equipment until recently. We wont allow the military to take part ever, that's why training was never imparted. I think that superb training needs to be re looked at. Ever read about the fatalities inflicted by the Maoists? It's huge. Their network is bigger than we can imagine. They enjoy wide spread support because of corruption in those states

CRPF is not equiped and trained to fight the Maoists. They are cannon fodder for the Maoists.

Try visiting a naxal area sometime, all the misconceptions would get clear.
You would realize it is courage, which is required more there than anything else
