The US Treasury Department said in a statement that 13 individuals and 12 companies – based out of Iran, Lebanon, China and the UAE – were asked not to ‘do business’ with major Indian companies involved in the Chabahar project. the article provides so little information. the port will be open with what? what and how many facilities would be ready? what transportation would be available? who would be the first customer? it is not like opening a neighborhood convenient store.

Maybe because they are yet to decide what to release and what not?

Not much is known about strategic sea ports.

Details of highway connectivity have already been mentioned in the past. The only road connectivity we needed to provide was build the road from Afghanistan to Chahbahar.

That too has been done.

The Zaranj-Delaram road is also complete.

All that remains is the port's final inauguration.
