Central Asian Arabs

You see racism everywhere, ElTurco.

The Arabs are a very small community in Uzbekistan. If that practice stopped then they would lose their heritage, language and culture and simply vanish. That probably happened with many Uzbek Arabs already. You probably want that to happen. But they have lived in Uzbekistan for 1300 years and have been loyal and contributed to the society after the Arab conquest of Central Asia. They know how to survive as a people. As you can see then they have already mixed with local Uzbek people. Don't derail this thread. Make a thread in the Turkish section about the mass-murderer and barbarian Timur instead of talking about him here!

Another thread is unfortunately now destroyed due to off-topic posts and assumptions from certain members.

Who will inform the moderators or webmaster to delete the off-topic posts? Can you write Wholegrain? Because when I make a report they never listen.

That great man killed where ever he went. He pillaged my city of Lahore and he pillaged Delhi. We South Asians do not need you to tell us anything about greatness. For you perhaps greatness has some connection with the number of people killed. For us, it is about Humanity. Big difference.

BTW, this great man of yours invaded Asia Minor (Turkey), defeated Sultan Bayazid Yildrim and imprisoned him in a cage. If you feel some thing for Taimur because of your Turkic identity, you should say something about his conduct regarding Sultan Bayazid Yildrim.

Yeah, that's the reason i like him, as a military leader he defeated from left to right he beat all his opponents one by one..

He had a invincible military force he used effective special tactics to win the battles.. thats why i like him okay.. just my opinion.

First of all i didnt start the talk about Timur people start to curse him i only said it was wrong to do so..

You are the one who sees racism everywhere.. you are worried about arabs safety after they live there for so long and locals allow even their daughters to marry them.. instead of thanking them and apologizing to me you decide to be rude again and this time insulting Uzbeks and others..

Timur is not a barbarian he is great man you arent even worth his nail!

You are some kind of obsessed troll. I never insulted any Uzbek. Stop making up false lies and derailing threads. This thread is not about that Timur mass-murderer.

Only thing I said was that I was worried for their survival due to old people dying and losing culture and that I hoped that Allah (swt) would protect them from any harm!

We must immediately help these people. I wonder why we never learnt about the giant Arab diaspora in school? We should help them economically especially the rich GCC countries. This is very great footage. Maybe many of them have now died and their children or grand-children have forgot their language, culture and heritage? We hope not because then they will be extinct very soon.

We must also thank the Uzbek people for protecting them if they have not persecuted them. Is there Uzbek members here we can ask questions to.

This is all new for me.

We hope that they can make us proud and be a good example - even better than us Arabs living in the Arab world!

Now stop derailing this interesting thread otherwise I will report your posts.

@al-Hasani

There is a council on Taiwan for overseas Chinese affairs and it has provided Chinese language education to overseas Chinese communities in countries like Thailand

Overseas Chinese Affairs Council - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There should be one in the Arab League or GCC for Arab communities in other countries and help them preserve their own dialects and traditions. Maybe you can create it. ;)

I think that such communities already exists actually but nothing official just Arab "experts" and linguistics who take great interest in such things. I am not sure though.

Unfortunately it is often not even Arabs but non-Arabs. We Arabs have largely forgotten about our large Arab diaspora. Some people put the Arab diaspora at about 50 million! Alone in South America we have up to 30 million people of Arab or partial Arab ancestry although most are from Levant and Christian Arabs.

I fear that those great people in Uzbekistan will die out. I pray that they do not. Unfortunately we live in a world today where minorities have big problems and often die out/their culture does.

In our own Arab/Semitic world we have Aramaic speakers who are also close to dying out. It is a great shame.

Yes, I would love to create such organization but for now it is only a dream. I am just a simple student.

Already made clear why i said that.

This thread is not about that Timur mass-murderer.

I am not the person who start talking about Timur, and he s my leader you cant call him mass-murderer you will have to learn respecting people.

Only thing I said was that I was worried for their survival due to old people dying and losing culture and that I hoped that Allah (swt) would protect them from any harm!

Thats not the reason for your prayer at firs you are a liar and a joke!

Now stop derailing this interesting thread otherwise I will report your posts

Go ahead and report it!!

I just have one thing to say about Uzbeks to @ELTurco

In 1989, there were massive riots and killings of the Ahiska Turkleri (Meskhetian Turks) by the Uzbeks. There were also the riots between Uzbeks and Kryghiz in Kyrghistan (both of them are turkic people) in 2010.

You should worry about the trouble and hatred between Turkic peoples in Central asia where nationalism is very strong. Most of the anger and violence is directed at other Turkic peoples.

Don't respond to this post, I just wanted to let you know about what happened.

You shouldn't forget the Arabs in Afghanistan. If possible if would be better for them to move back to Uzbekistan and learn their dialect of Arabic so they could strengthen the community there. After all they originally came from there before the Russians drove them to Afghanistan. Uzbekistan government should grant citizenship to them.

There was an "alphabet struggle" in Central Asia by Iran and Turkey over what script should replace cyrillic. Iran wanted them to go back to Perso Arabic script and Turkey wanted Latin alphabet. I don't know if Saudi Arabia took a strong position on the alphabet in particular.

Oil in the New World Order - Google Books

The problem with Perso Arabic script is often cited to be the vowels in Non Arabic languages. But if extra Tashkeel were included it shouldn't be a problem. But I do understand Latin alphabet is easier for them to learn although its a shame it cuts them off from hundreds of years of literary heritage.

But those are about the national languages of those countries and not the minorities although it might help the Arab minority if the script was Perso Arabic.

Yes you are right I did not mean to disregard the hindus he killed but my point was he killed so many Muslims overall yet called it a holy war. I know you will get what I mean.

The question of Timur's religion beliefs has been a matter of controversy ever since he began his great conquests. His veneration of the house of the Prophet, the spurious genealogy on his tombstone taking his descent back to Ali, and the presense of Shiites in his army led some observers and scholars to call him a Shiite. However his official religious counselor was the Hanafite scholar Abd alJabbar Khwarazmi. Timur's religious practices with their admixture of Turco-Mongolian shamanistic elements belonged to the Sufi tradition. Timur avowed himself the disciple of Sayyid Baraka, the holy man of the commercial city of Tirmidh. He also constructed one of his finest buildings at the tomb of Ahmad Yaassawi, who was doing most to spread Folk Islam among the nomads.

In religion as in other aspects of his life Timur was above all an opportunist; his religion served frequently to further his aims, but almost never to curcumscribe his actions. It was in the justification of his rule and his conquests that Timur found Islam most useful.
