I ask because I can't relate to this behavior - I would appreciate & applaud were they signing up for Nepalese Army but why sign up for another country's Army ?

No offence but gurkhas are too cute and small for us, put forth any gurkha warrior and i can crush him by hugging. Though i must say if that gurkha run away from me, i wont be able to catch him...they are small and agile like monkies. So remember dont ever challenge a pathan or punjabi for kushti/wrestling.
But this is not age of physical and hand-to-hand combat. Pashtuns had to adopt guerrella tactics to combat well armed enemies with air superiority. Gurkhas were used against pashtun tribesmen in FATA by british indian army with the view that they must be accustomed to mountain warfare, but they suffered heavy casaulties....terrain of FATA and its use by pashtun tribesmen for warfare was beyond the understanding of gurkhas...

All the invasions of afghanistan by british were done to make it pro-british and to prevent it from falling into russian camp...the first and second anglo-afghans were to simply conquer afghanistan like india. When they failed to do so, then they kept it as a buffer zone between them and russians. When they also failed to subdue tribal areas, then they made it a sort of buffer zone between india and afghanistan.

We are cricket lover n appreciate good cricket no matter of which team which player but it hurts to see some people are celebrating pak win that too against India....... This is not the first time I have seen there are Indian Pakistani citizens who calls Pakistani players name with full respect like bhaijaan but that missing in case of Indian cricketers........
During wotld cup in SA in which sachin scored 98 runs n India won that match I had bet with one of my gujrati Muslim friend whose hidden brotherhood came out that day n he was praying for pak win on that Friday ...... he was labelled Pakistani openly since that day ....... such people bring a question mark on patriotism of entire community ...... But I don't support any sort of physical violence to teach them a lesson. ......... anyway best wishes to pak team for rest of tge matches. ..........

And please read the whole article they were suspended because they didn't apologize for their notorious behaviour and also denied to name the hooligans who were trying to tease other fellow students, ask your principal what he/she would've done if someone behaved like this with college officials, had it been me even I would've got suspended this is something which is done because of undisciplined manner not any rights or other crap. China was not threat for their colony of india. They already were interfering in china through their hong kong colony. They were sea power, they didnt need to cross highl himaliyan mountains of nepal and tibet to reach china. Moreover they were already bordering china from kashmir to assam.
