RAWALPINDI – Three Pakistani army men were martyred after Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing across Line of Control (LoC), Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.

Captain Taimoor Ali Khan, Hawaldar Mushtaq, and Lance Naik Ghulam Hussain valiantly embraced martyrdom in Kotli sector along the Line of Control while responding to Indian unprovoked firing, the ISPR said.

The ISPR statement said that seven Indian soldiers confirmed dead in retaliatory fire.

The exchange of fire between Pakistani and Indian troops is ongoing.

Earlier today, Indian troops targeted a passenger bus near the LoC, killing nine people and injuring 11 others.

“It may be mentioned here that in order to distract attention from the real issue of atrocities in India-held Kashmir by Indian troops, they are now targeting civilians population across the LoC towards the Pakistan side,” the ISPR statement added.

On Monday, Indian forces targeted Jandroot, Kerala and Baroha sectors, killing four civilians and injured 10 others on Pakistani side. They were identified as Altaf, Nazia, Atique and Tassavur, according to ISPR.

Pakistan Army responded in a befitting manner to Indian aggression, killing at least six Indian soldiers.

On Saturday, the Pak-Army had shot down an Indian spy drone in Rakhchakri sector. Director-General ISPR Lt. Gen. Asim Saleem Bajwa said that Indian quadcopter was shot down at 4:45pm PST by the troops at Aagahi post.

On the same day, Indian forces had martyred four minors on the Pakistani side of the LoC.

For nearly three months now, Indian forces have been violating the ceasefire agreement along the LoC and the Working Boundary. The aggressive posturing and continuing unprovoked fire by India has resulted in martyrdom of a number of Pakistani civilians and military troops.

Pakistan has repeatedly protested against the border violations on the diplomatic level, while the Pakistan Army and Rangers have also been responding to the Indian firing and shelling in a befitting manner.

Pakistani casualities is always heavy on officer side... as Pakistani officer lead from front not sit in bunkers and order ethnically unwanted soldiers to rush fortified enemy positions
that is a gross statement to make....but then what else can be expected here ...:disagree:

On topic - No we are not on brink of war...Indians and Pakistanis are loud mouths however both sides know they cant afford a war...simple...

There will be no war, both are verbal tigers only.

something huge must happen if there was to be a war and that may possibly result in a full force standoff and then the preasure will be on modi. either jump the gun and go to war and kiss goodbye to a large amount of investment and all fdi or suck it up and possibly ruin his career.

people just dont understand the consequences of war. the only people who do understand are the ones in the firing line.

problem is sitting in the West to us it seems like Indians and Modi are the loud mouths, all talk no action.

the surgical strike farce and then not admitting deaths on their side till the Pakistani COAS called them out for it and said it was not gentleman like to not disclose the deaths of its soldiers in war time.

imagine being an indian soldier who paid the ultimate sacrifice for his country, yet the government and the media don't realise his name to the public and hide its death from everyone.

one Pakistani is equal to 100 Indians... we are losing

The butcher has landed himself in sh--t with his demonetization exercise. He could flare up things to divert attention. His top advisor Beyjat Devil would like that.

Not at all.

Incidents on the border happened even before demonetisation which btw is the smartest thing any PM could have the courage to do.
