Between why can't we be the first in anything (on the bold part)? Why cannot afford that achievement? Till India generate the first MW of electricity, It is still primitive!

Why are you obsessed with self-flagellation, to the extent of imagining that "it is still primitive"? Your singular choice of language indicates the level of knowledge that you operate at wrt this particular topic (at least).

Having a technology doesn't mean we are expert unless we have used it to achieve the goal! Sorry I was like that! If in next 5 years if the thorium reactors generates electricity, I will surely change my perception... Frankly Bureaucracy will certainly play a big role!
