Can government officials/Officers run business.? What is the policy?

Well, they can not indulge in a business which is in conflict with their governmental duties. I work in a Govt. owned company. Work load is reasonable but after working 9 to 5 i do not get extra time to do any other work.
I believe mostly who claim they own businesses are people who take bribes and camouflage it as a business.
