What's new

Can we bring back Pakistan to this position again or now it is impossible?

but who will appoint those people that appoint the president ;)

Pakistan should go for limited democracy.

:), I got your point, but my point is that there should be panel of educated panel.

Chief Justices, comes with seniority,
Armed forces should also follow the seniority.
panel of respective professions would not be a problem.

Brfore 1990, Pakistan's economic policies was seen as a role model for every developing nations. Pakistan always grew since 1947, on the other hand India had a negetive growth rate ever once every 4 years. In 1990, Pakistan's per capita income was almost twice that of India & China. But after 1990 there was a major change in Pakistan's policy. Economic growth was pushed down from its priority list and anti India policies topped its list. Terror camps were set up. While they were trying to dig a grave for India, India sprinted ahead. A drastic policy change is needed now if Pakistan has to reverse this current trend.

"Iran is Allah's sword; Saudi Arabia is Allah's temple; Pakistan is Allah's bless on earth.", I think this works for the Chinese.

The whole world knows the new star in town China is your "all weather" friend, I guess the answer is highly possible.

Pakistan has everything a country needs to be a prosperous country but a lot has changed since 2005:

1. The biggest thief is the President of Pakistan.

2. The ruling party are taking trips to foreign nations and spending too much on their luxurious lives.

3. Pakistan has allowed the most powerful intelligence agency (CIA) in the world to establish its own network inside Pakistan that has conflicting interests from Pakistan.

All Pakistan needs is a good leader or military dictatorship who will put Pakistan first, get rid of corrupt people from office, get rid of foreign interference, and put a danda on the heads of its people to stop being lazy and start working.

Democracy doesn't work for everyone, especially not for a country with a large illiterate population who vote for theives.

Pakistan is infected by home grown problems and to clean these problems it will take may be couple of decades, then only it can think about Progressing, but its too early to say whether they will succeed in getting rid of these problems even decades later...

second-fastest growing economy after China

<KID>
If chinas GDP falls below india and just a tad above Pakistan, then technically

Is definitely possible. :)

start peace process within, stop civil war

Win civil war and then start peace process only way out, cutting defense( optional )spending might help.Economic ties with India also will help.
