Well can you tell how? India has been using MiG 21s when you were dreaming of having one.
Si I pretty well think that the LCA is much better than the MiG 21s.

MiG-21 has a thrust weight ratio of 1.11 compared to lca which has only 0.90. Shame on you people. it cant even defeat 50s era plane in interception role.

"Dont know" is just a tactful way of saying LCA cannot do it right now. Even after 30 years of development LCA still cannot do a simple vertical take-off which a 1970's MiG-29 can perform with ease.

The above video, it just utrns right an does a 45 degree climb. Even a cessna can do that

The 6450kg is old data and was the weight of Tejas in the year 2005.

JF 17 has a TWR less than 1 as well....

so it cannot climb vertically on its engine power alone....

both the LCA and the JF 17 could do, but only if they have enough speed and for a short time till they lose energy.

How can the LCA replace the MiG-21 when it cannot even do the MiG-21s interceptor role??? MiG-21 can dash up like a rocket during interception. LCA is such a poor aircraft. pity.

tejas has gobbled up 20 times the money it took to develop JF-17, and 25 times the time it took to develop jf-17. comparing them both on specifications is like comparing apples and oranges. besides, THIS IS NOT A COMPARISION THREAD. I enver once mentioned jf-17! stop making it a jf-17 vs lcs thread!

i take pity on the lack of knowledge of my neighbours. one brilliant guy claims it weighs 5450kgs. it shows the general knowledge in yoru country. no wonder your scientists cannoty develop one single plane for 30 years.
