Raising child abuse at alarming rate is a concern for many parents these days, not only in Pakistan but all over the world.

I spend many years of my life in Karachi/Pakistan. When I was a kid in last 80's and early 90's, I used to play outside a lot and my father didnt use to care much, however, this is not the case anymore, not only in Pakistan and almost everywhere.

Streets and neighborhoods are full of filth's and usually its has been found that offender is either a family friend or close relative to the poor victim's.

Million dollar question is, how to curb the raising child abuse?

I my opinion, rules are laws are not harsh enough, therefore, offenders know that they could get away while exploiting system's loopholes (through their lawyers), use money and influence. However, if capital punishment becomes legal penalty than it could help to curb the issue, I believe.

Thoughts?

I support capital punishment if its rapist ,serial killer or maybe traitor if his action led to deaths. For Others i think they should be used in factories so our economy and production grows.

.
Funny enough, child abuse actually surged with the introduction of Hudood Ordinance.

Back then media wasn't well covered, but stories were there in the newspapers.

I support capital punishment for rape, but I don't think it will solve the issue.

So what do you propose?

.
Only sharia can safe our kids but we care about pedophile and rapist that's why we don't punish them hard

.
Nope.

Society needs to change in terms of economic and social policy.

Capital Punishment is used by politicians to hide their incompetence and/or agenda.

.
Make police competent.

Easiest solution ever.

I also believe that people who think that the recent child rape cases in Pakistan have nothing to do with the Dark Web are most probably living under a rock and are oblivious to the complexity of the Internet and the recently busted dark-web child **** rings in countries like USA, UK, Norway, Sweden, Australia, and the Philippines. Even a layman can see obvious similarities between the horrific cases of children that surfaced in the last six months in Kasur, Sargodha, Jaranwala and recently Karachi. Not only such cases came in the limelight but few culprits involved in child pornography were also caught in Pakistan after international agencies gave information to our authorities.

Also only God knows whats going on in those madrasas, our society's deeply held belief and trust in maulvees and people of religion should also be questioned.

No. But capital punishment helps to calm assuage our angst. A good example is USA and UK. Both western societies. USA hangs em at every corner. Or should I say hang em, e-locute them, poison them. UK hands out soft sentences like 14 years for murder. Now compare US crime stats to UK.

USA and UK are very different societies. In the US you get harsh sentences for even minor crimes, and that works as a good deterrent for most people. The crime stats in the US are skewed because of gun loving nature of US society. There are historical reasons behind this phenomena. For a country as big as the US is, it is not so bad when it comes to crimes. UK on the other hand is very small relative to the US, and has strict gun control laws. Thus the reasons for lower crime rate.
