The question is that can a jet carry such antimissile system that can destroy the a2a missile when fire upon?
Any such system is under development???????????????

Try to see details on Northrop Grumman AN/AAQ-24 Directional Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) system called Nemesis. Its one of the systems you are asking about. Its primarily for MANPADS and ground-launched IR missiles but then it can provide protection against IR A2A too because its the same guidance technique.

This thread can be made interesting in an another way. There are separate protection systems for helicopters, large aircrafts and fighters. Why is this? Like Nemesis is used on large transport aircrafts and I still dont know if any fighter has been fitted with it.

Why the IR jammer of Cobra Helicopter can't be installed on a fighter jet?

Why can't we use a large aircraft's protection system (like Nemesis) on a fighter jet?

It would be worthwhile to do an effort for understanding this. A study of constraints with respect to different platforms.

One reason that I can understand for existence of different protection systems for helicopters, large transport/VIP aircrafts/commercial aircrafts and fighters is the maneuverability.

A fighter aircraft complements the flare ejection with a break to right or left.

On the other hand, large aircrafts can't do this. For the flares to be effective, the aircraft should do a break too and this is not possible for large aircrafts. So they are in need to different protection systems like Nemesis.

But this is just one reason.
