After reading this whole one can understand that indians are living in the dream world where they saw becoming the superpower of the world and they are so deep into this they don't want to understand reality....Reailty is there are more poor peoples in India than Arfrica...Reality is India is struggling with is internal wars which is now spreading to all its states....Reality is India is facing problems inside like minorities rights.....Killing muslims in Gugrat or Incedents of Babri mosques and lot more............

You can be a superpower.....just tell ur govt.....don't buy weapons and make moutains ....rather spend that money to poor peoples...and make their life better then u can be a superpower.......What u will do with weapons if u will have more peoples dying with hunger....than very soon u will have food crises inside of ur country where peoples will be fighting each other for money and food.

Reality is you came here after hibernation.. You only reflecting your own crisis here mate. just turn up any newspaper and see how many peoples are killed in naxals and kashmir unlike urs.
Think before u speak.

as per wiki india will remain a low income country till 2050 even if they achive US GDP(14 trillions)

That's true...you can't expect a country which will have a population of nearly 1.4 billion in 2050 to get GDP per capita in high 20,000 or 30,000 dollars..
And wiki says the same for China as well.

Anything is bound to happen. India is surely to be a great power if all corruption is taken care of, and investment into infrastructure as well as poverty. It may be goin at a slow pace. But I believe India will manage to stand at the top.

For those of you that underestimates India, keep in mind that it has a GDP of 1.6 trillion and a population of 1.1 billion as well as nuclear warhead. Its population is a huge advantage comparing to france, germany, japan, UK and even Russia while it's proven nuclear power status gives it an edge over japan and germany. Sure indian on average might not be as wealthy yet, but collectively, it is already a major power if you consider france, uk, germany, and japan to be one. (I certainly do consider those countries to be a major power) Pakistan is a strong nation, but its influence it is not on the same level as india because it does not enjoy such a staggering advantage that india enjoy over the developed major powers. There is nothing to be ashamed of for Pakistan because even though it does not have all those aforementioned advantage that India holds, it can still choose to rise to the great power status following the Japan example. (most similar population wise, also neither are western countries)

as per wiki india will have a gdp of 44 trillion dollars in total in 2050, which will give indians a per capita gdp of over 30000 dollars.

I don't think the writers of the report know what Governance means.

Governance has nothing to do with so called "democracy". Governance is measured as the efficiency of government, which can be quantitatively measured by time it takes to complete major infrastructure projects. China getting a 2, lower than India, is funny, considering that China can complete large infrastructure projects faster than even US.

It is a bottleneck phase for both China and India as we need the completely new revolutionary science to make the resources on in the World more sustainable for our economic development.

In my opinion India is the only country in the world that's showing the whole world that yes it CAN happen India is not a terribly rich country but it's rapidly emerging super power so yes a poor country can be a great power India has shown everyone an example

The superpower of the world is is and always will be.

Brazil is the second best country in position for growth and real growth. Not cn not in.

You notice it's diversity and drive I beleve single culture country are holding themselves back.

The world will stay focused on the Americas
All the resources and best position for world trade (Stratfor)

Your only needed now for cheap labor
Moores law will make human manufaturing obsolete but will require a higher caliber worker and not poor farmers.

India is in a better position because of there excellent i.t. And support.

Small economies can be strong regional powers with backing of allies. Take a look at Israel for example. Its military is the most well equipped and well trained forces in the region despite its manpower limitations.

As far as India goes, it is already the biggest regional power in South Asia and continues to growth at a fast rate. While I don't see it catching up to China anytime soon (at least the next 3 decades), it will be a very important player on the international stage.

You do know that China has the largest number of post secondary graduates in the world right? In addition, basic infrastructure in China is well ahead of any developing nations in Asia. It's a combination of afforable labour, work ethics, education, political stability and infrastructure that makes China stand out. Cambodia, Laos, Philippines and Indonesia all have lower labour rates than China, and yet they did not transform into a manufacturing giant.

Look up some books on economics sometimes. Since you get banned every week, I'm sure you have alot of free time aside from posting pure stupidity.

It's my major i go to a very good school. Second lack of reciprocity with other countrys and the growing trade dichotomy will stifle them there lack of resources outside of labor is terrifying the money printing and currency manipulation will turn the WTO against it.
I have a robust understanding of international markets. All the hot money flowing into there country are destroying there profit margin dispute there dollar peg

U are talking of BRIC economies by goldsach. It has assumed a constant growh in high range which even developed economies could not sustain in the times when there was little compitetion. 2050 is still much away even one incident can have massive effects e.g natural clamities, war with in the country,War in any neighbouring country, financial crunch etc.
