Can a Fighter shot down a A2A missile?

.
Tecnically yes if a missile is fat enough. With cannon fire or . special kinetic missiles specifically designed to take down other missiles.

Ground based anti missile systems have these missiles like the ones israel or russia makes.

So yes not impossible. We have chengdu F-7PG which has demonstrated this skill in past for Pakistan air force.

But reaction time is very less. Shooting down An AIM 120C however is not easy as it is not fat at all. Its very hard to shoot it down unlesd you shoot with s few lucky shots of canon fire.

I have my doubts . if was a pakistani israeli or russian pilot it was more believable.

Anyways it is possible in some rare scenarios . but not while running away from the missile. You have to be behind the missile or facing it head on.

This would be a concept called Flying APS. Usa china and russia are working on an automatic APS for aircraft . for now its manually done by really really good pilots and rare scenarios

For now its just a fairy tale against missles like PL-12 or AIM-120c of pakistan air force

Yes its possible if the aircraft has strong laser attached for self defense.

Sorry bro i was posting from my mobile... So i think i wrongly quote your post

No worries at all. I figured as much.

Anyways if in case SU-30mki have able to escape from PAF AMRAAM( which is almost 0% chance) then still its the Metter of shame for IAF.... Having Lock on enemies plane mean a successful kill... And world will still admire PAF pilots and its skills

We really need to be careful when it comes to rhetoric. Can't embarrass ourselves as the Indians have been doing over and over again. For example, AMRAAMs have missed before. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary if it did this time as well. What we do know for sure is that there were two IAF aircraft that our boys shot down. Why? Because ISPR said so. Which type was the second aircraft? We honestly don't know. All we have are unsubstantiated rumours. We should just wait until we have some definitive proof or ISPR confirms it.

To be honest though, I don't even care if an MKI was shot down or not. India attacks, fails miserably, the world acknowledges and makes fun of it everywhere. Indians try to cover their failure with moronic lies but get caught every single time, the world makes even more fun of them. Pakistan responds six times, India is unable to stop us, world acknowledges, India gets ridiculed more. India tries to intercept our aircraft but instead gets at least one of its own shot down, pilot gets captured and is then returned unilaterally by Pakistan. World acknowledges, ridicules India even more. All the Indian yelling and the warnings and the chest beating suddenly disappears. Deafening warcries of yesterday don't even leave squeaks for today. Just silence now. What else could we have asked more for?

I don't think a downed MKI would really make a difference in the brilliance of this whole episode for us Pakistanis. They failed everywhere and we beat them everywhere, even in the acknowledgement of our narrative by the international community. And then they just ran away, just like we warned them they would.

No bro RF is to deny the BVR mid flight data update links and IR is the detection/tracking methods IRST/FLIR, only one to destroy incoming AAM will be LASERS and may be MASERS @FuturePAF

Some Options: https://images.slideplayer.com/24/7563006/slides/slide_8.jpg
One option is a DRFM Expendable RF Decoy: https://www.leonardocompany.com/en/-/britecloud-3
Another is a towed RF decoy like this one meant for the F-35:

finally some kind of IR system on the aircraft or even the decoy to trick the enemy IR missile that the decoy is the aircraft: https://www.researchgate.net/profil...140150700/Classification-of-laser-weapons.png

BTW here is a nice presentation from the Danes on the subject: https://slideplayer.com/slide/7563006/
