Hmm, when they offered us F-35, there will be no problem for growlers in MRCA.
126 Growlers is the best we can have as an escort for Su30's and heavy aircrafts!!!
126 aircrafts are exactly/more than enough for 20/30 squads of non stealth aircrafts

Mirage2000s in India are being upgraded for multiple reason.
1) To get an updated PESA radar - RBE3
2) Mid life upgrade to do airframe life extension
3) avionics upgrade to be able to use diverse weapons systems
4) superb weapons package from Thales and MBDA.
All this ill result in a superior multi-role fighter which will soldier on for another 15-20 years.
Maybe there are other secret items int he deal which is not in the public domain.
