The first of six C-130J-30s on order by the IAF was rolled out of the paint shop on June 18. This plane (c/n 5638) Serial No. KC-3801 is presently undergoing final configuration modifications with India-specific operational equipment and will be delivered before the end of the year.

So another commeon airplane type betwen the PAF and the IAF.

My thought was that there is the potential for IFF issues, more so under certain Special Ops conditions.

To some extent, yes- to mobile observer posts. But not to Electronic surveillance.

I would suggest that electronically fooling IFF is not all that difficult.

I think people think there is no need for aircrafts and fighters in this age and only AMRAAMS and SAM's are required..

...does C-130J is an upgraded version of C-130 but that doesnt mean that it has become an Air superiority fighter, still a support and transport AC. Pakistan has designed its weapons systems for its C-130s. AK tanks can be deployed adequately from our current fleet. and thats what it has to do.btw here is the inventory
