Shouldn't the government be providing sources of funds and provisions in the constitution that obligate such actions?

There are thousands of illegal encroachments in the country fuelling agitation among the masses, adding religious aspects to a land dispute and too government sanctioned is not a wise idea.

The matter is already in front of the courts which will determine constitutionality of all aspects of the decision initiated by the PMLN government and being implemented now by the PTI government.

From what I understand, the courts have asked whether or not a new temple at the proposed location is in line with the CDA master plan and if it is not, whether construction is still legal.

Secondly there are many mosques which are looked after by govt of Pakistan & many darbars & other minorities sites by the department of Auqaf. Govt of Pakistan earns a lot of money from them as well.

I just had the pleasure of reading @Starlord post earlier in the thread and it stung in that it did flagged something that I was guilty of - making comments about posters being religious extremists. I have deleted posts related to that comment of mine on this thread and apologize to all concerned.


We cannot use crimes committed by others as justification for us doing the same.

If you want to argue against the construction of temples or any other issue, please do not use intolerance, hatred and prejudice in other countries and societies as justification, because you are no better than them if you do.

You should be able to logically argue for or against an issue on its own merits.

Thank you so much, we all had weird past and we judge as per own understandings , we are not free from mistakes and errors , this is how Allah created us . Most of us are always in a haste to point fingers and judge and sometimes even forget that somethings are in not in our hands and we have no power over it .

I don't know if you or people have heard of this wonderful narration about the creation of adam A.S, When Allah created Adam AS and breath his soul in him, the soul transfer starts from the head but as soon as his soul enters the body, Adam AS wakes up with a sneeze, and he said " Shukar Alamdulliah " , but while the soul is still going downwards to his body he tries to get up but his legs did not work, and Allah watching that smile and said something along the lines " Oh mankind you are always in haste " ..

Should non Muslims be expected to pay Jizya in Pakistan?

No, because Jizya has to be paid if Muslims conquer a Land, and Pakistan was not conquered but freed , and the people ( Hindu & Sikhs ) were living in this land, Muslim creates a Govt and we already Charge them taxes along with Muslims , as for their Protection it is our duty because they entrust their matter to us .

You just put mosque in the same category as mandir. And waqf board is something else.... I am totally 100 percent against the biddat of shrines as well. Though I never advocate the use of force at this stage, rather peaceful preaching of true Islam will remove this shirk.
