Building a new ‘Mandar’ in Riyasat-e-Madina is against the spirit of Islam: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

I am not against it but timing couldnt be any worse giving ammunition to opposition on a religious issue. I pretty sure that BC Fawad CH or Pink Hair Grandma is behind this idea. Not only they have not thought this through but also there are legal complications that Mandir is not part of the original master plan of Isb. So many buildings have been torn down bcz of this issue and in future this issue will turn into a circus.

who the hell is this new islamic leader ?? moron .. when muslims conquered iran who were zorastrians, did we close down their religious beliefs ? in islam everyone is allowed to practice what they believe in

Iran converted to islam in a good 800 years after its conquest .. know your history corrupt chaur insaan ..

great comment by this great leader

you my friend are “confused”

those religious sites of minorities which are present already are only preserved in Islamic countries but building new sites are not allowed and also there is no rise n hindu population in Pakistan so there is no requirement or need of any mandir

What is meant by Riyasat-e-Madina?

It means state of Madinah. It refers to the original state established by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). To Muslims that state is the ultimate example of justice. When Imran Khan mentioned Riyasat-e-Madina, he doesn't mean changing the system of governance to match that of a small Arab city state 1400 years ago, but rather to change the values in the institutions of the Pakistani state so they reflect the just nature of Riyasat-e-Madina.

Pervez Elahi seems to think that includes preventing non muslims from building places of worship, which is something all sane minded Muslims disagree with. I just don't want any taxpayer money spent on ANY place of worship whilst we have people in our country who are poor or cannot afford medical treatment.

Can you provide evidence to backup your opinion? Which hadith states this?

there is ijma of Ummah on this.Holy Prophet(P.B.U.H) on Fatah e Makkah demolished all idols and ordered Hazrat Ali R.A to demolish even those graves which are much high above the ground. There is not a single evidence that new idol worshiping places are build under any Caliphate

Building new religious sites for minorities isn't allowed in Islam?
like @maverick1977 said above, You're really confused.

Yet throughout history places or worship for non Muslims were built across the Muslim world. All these Gudwaras were built during Mughal rule. The Ottoman areas are full or churches that were built in Ottoman design. Why?

We are required to follow the conduct of Holy Prophet(P.B.U.H) and His Shabah R.A and not of mughals and other rulers who did mistakes and there is no instructions in Islam to follow their conduct

every civilization impose restrictions on minorities for building new worship place, europe also not allowed building of mosques for thousands of years and spain converted mosques to churches, but even after they allowed they impose restrictions on loud calling of Azan as well slaughtering animals for sacrifice openly, similarly china and russia also disallowed building of new mosques in their history and india also is demolishing mosques and banned loud calling of Azan,In many western countries women are not allowed to wear burqa and mayanmar budhists brutality killed thousands of burma Muslims so first ask this logic from these nations who call them as secular but show clear bias towards Islam

Shut up terrorist. You radical muslims are the reason why most muslims are getting bad name throughout the world.

You radical muslims are the ones who complain that muslims are killed everywhere but will happily persecute minorities in muslim majority nations.

Everyone has a point here, so stop calling other Muslims terrorists, that ant right. I'm no subject matter expert on this but regardless of Western hypocrisy on religious freedoms and their clear hate for anything Islamic, Pakistan should not be stopping minority religions building their sites; as long as they follow local building regulations and get approval. Additionally, the government should not be funding the minority religious buildings of any kind, that's stupid allocation of funds.
