The very fact that Buddhism Failed in India is because people could NOT relate to it
Nope.
It was killed and driven out.
Systematically down the ages.
Nothing benign about that.
Now culled to a fringe faith, it's brother Dharmic time.
Cheers, Doc

Fair enough, you need High IQ for that
Hinduism cannot exist without soul. Buddha rejects totally the existence of the soul..The gaps between Jainism and Hinduism are bridgeable.............But Buddha's ideas were too much of a stretch for contemporary Brahmanism and still is for modern Hinduism

Why do Buddhists Believe in Karma and RE birth if there is No Soul
Lol..arya samaj too have similar views on religion .....are they not Hindus...Hinduism is not one book or one god religion...anything good for humanity we accept it to our way of life that is Hinduism.@ashok mourya
Posting links won't change the fact that there are other Wikipedia articles that clearly point out that there are unbridgeable distinctions between Hinduism and Buddhism..chief among them from Buddhist side--rejection of Creator God, rejection of soul, rejection of caste system, complete rejection of Vedas, rejection of Yagyas and sacrifices
Buddhism is not about belief..It's about experience..Buddhism talks about rebirth NOT reincarnation....reincarnation is the same soul going through different lives and bodies...
Rebirth is about the changing nature of the self from moment to moment....as if each moment is a NEW rebirth
These things are beyond the scope of this thread and beyond the assimilation capability of Hinduism..Let's leave it at that
Buddhism does not need a Creator...That was the genius of the Buddha...a precursor to modern Scientific Atheism...Buddhism is different from any other philosophical system you know with the possible exception of Scientific Materialism
Buddha infact did not like religious discussions and was also not for discussions on beginning or end of the world. He considered them like "the jundedc desert, the puppet-show the writhing, the entanglement of speculation" and was not bothered for it. His entire concept was ethical and emphasis was placed on conduct and yes he was very anti caste system and hated it.
Infact according to his teachings that saintliness and contentment was to he found not in the knowledge of the universe and God but in selfless and virtuous.
Infact due to this to call bhudhism a religious is up for discussion bcz bhudhism was more a way of life. Religion deals with diety and dieties based on faith or revelations but bhudhism was based on ethics and virtue of a person and his struggle in life for contentment. One can argue that it was a way of life.
Well I often avoid such topics. People are too personal about it.
Also welcome to the forum you seem a great addition. Keep posting.
That's not annatta ..its Ananta means infinity...There is NOTHING like the concept of Anatta in Hinduism...There is nothing like Vipassana in Hinduism..only Anapanasati...
There is nothing like the concept of moment-to-moment rebirth in Hinduism
Buddha had probably 30 points higher IQ than any of his contemporaries or anybody who preceded him
anything good for humanity we accept it to our way of life that is Hinduism.

Not every thing written wiki is correct. You are missoquoting Atman..means soul...Shows your ignorance.....Anatta is the Pali for An-Atma (Non-Self Concept) it has nothing to do with Ananta which is infinity...Anyways Buddha heavily discouraged speculation regarding Eternity cum Infinity
