The oldest book on astronomy is the Bhrigu Samhita. It was written in the Treta yuga i.e. during time of Sri. Rama which is more than 10,000 years ago.

It gives details on how to calculate the motion of 6 planets, moon and the earth.

The Surya siddhanta is even older since it was written by the Asura Maya and it was taught to him directly by Aditya.

Even the Parashari Sidhanta is older since it was written by Rishi Parashara , son of Rishi Veda Vyasa which makes it over 5000 years old.

The oldest hindu calendar is the Sapta Rishi calendar and it is based on the precession of the earth and the period of precession is 26,000 years. It says that since 8000 BC the north pole has visited 5 different constellations before finally pointing at the 7 stars constellation called the "sapta rishi" a.k.a Big dipper.

How did they know that ?

The oldest greek astronomer who attempted to find the distance of the moon is only from 250 BC and they came up with absurd conclusion.

The only serious greek was Ptolemy who claimed that the planets revolved around the earth in 150 C.E

Surya siddhanta gave accurate methods to calculate the solar and lunar eclips and predicted the orbital motion of Mercury, venus, mars, moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and distance between the earth and the sun.
