BSF - Ranger slug it out at Hussaniwala

What happens at Wagah is at the level of some "tamasha" a circus act. Both countries would do better than to reduce their men to circus performers. Are the men (and women) posted there to entertain citizens? And the common people only flock there to eat their share of "chana, moonghphali and ice-cream". They could visit the zoo instead.

Not our but of pakistan.

Because India have sent a proposal to tone down this type of actions and gestures.

Actually both, because you can't clap with one hand can you?

If one party had toned down, the other would look quite comical stomping about wouldn't they? So your statement is nothing but a moot point.

Absolutely shameful, both these personal need some serious spanking from their senior officers for their childish attitude. They should have acted like professionals and behaviour of this sort is unacceptable.

doesnt work any others

There indeed was a thread about toning down the blatantly jingoistic display on the border gate. One of the reasons was that the exaggerated strutting, high-kicking, goose-stepping and hard stomping was causing needless orthopaedic problems among other things. I had posted on that thread too, and in pretty much the same way.

IMO, this whole "tamasha' has done nothing good except probably keeping some local vendors employed hawking their wares. There can be a ceremony there, but without all this uncalled for aggression. After all there is no war going on there-- 24 x 7 x 365.
The only nice scene that I saw there (on TV, must confess) was when the CWG torch crossed there, escorted by children of both countries and there was a very nice music performance by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and the Wadali Brothers at that time. They sang separately and together.

That is what I might go there to see, not some acrobatics, or arm-wrestling.

According to a media handout, Director-General of Punjab Rangers Major-General Muhammad Yaqoob Ali Khan said that the parade would go on in the traditional aggressive style, The Express Tribune reported.

Handshaking between the two sides' rangers will continue, he added.

Director-General of BSF Raman Shrivastav and Punjab Rangers DG Yaqoob had also mutually agreed to urge their respective governments to release the fishermen held captive by both sides after minimum detention and paperwork.
