I was watching a TV seminar at the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) in Delhi where Ajit Doval was giving a presentation. During the presentation, he stressed that there has been an increase in retaliation which is mostly not visible.

This strategy he said, worked very well since Pakistanis won't accept that there has been an operation inside their territory in front of their population; which means that any measure taken against militants hiding inside their territory can be attacked.

I really don't think there would be any point in responding to the armchair 'gazis' here which does nothing more than stirring a few sentiments.

Firstly understand who made these comments alas Minister of State for Power Abid Sher Ali, who was just standing in for the defence minister, hence he would have little or no clues about the subject, keep in mind your own former defence minister is on record for admitting that it took him six months just to recognise the rank and file of the armed forces, none the less the Pakistani Minister did go on to say that,
''The minister said a letter had been written to the General Headquarters, seeking more details which were expected to be available in a couple of days.''

Now likewise one could also question as where do you stand on this statement by your minister.

In recent book on LoC by Professor Happymon Jacob a Pakistan army general told him that Pakistan opens fire on IB to retaliate to LoC firing as they have an advantage there against BSF unlike LoC where in 70% of the areas the advantage is with Indian army.

any sensible military likes to fight in areas where it has strategic advantage.

First of all it clearly mentioned Abid Sher ali was speaking on behalf of Defence mister as Khawaja Asif was also Water & power minister in addition to Defence min hence Abod Ali was his junior colleague.

Secondly No reply ever came from GHQ as Senate Hansard show.

Even few months back on 29th August 2018
PTI Senator Samina Saeed asked Pakistan's new Defence Minister Pervez Khattak details about number of cross LoC firing and Pakistani army and civilian casualties due to it. A pretty standard question in Parliaments around the world.


But astonishingly the new Defence minister provided her with only details about Civilian casualties and did not provide an Iota of information about Pakistan Army casualties along LoC despite the Senator clearly asking for those details.

So you assume just because there is suicide problem amongst Indian armed forces, there's bound to be same issue in Pakistan Army or just because Tej Bahdur has lost his appetite, Pakistani soldiers also must be sleeping on empty stomach.
