BRITISH MUSLIMS ASK FOR SUPPORT IN BANNING BURKA

What the hell problem with the others. Let people practice what ever they want? If some Talib support forcefully Burka or beard, that is known as Extremism. What to call these people who want forcefully to stop what others are practicing? Yes, they are also extremists as equal to same Taliban
Pragash Band was muted ... was it forceful..?? not from Talibs..

Everybody here is calling burqa against human rights and forced upon women.
By making law what are u so called "MODERTE" people doing: forcing those who want to wear burqa, not to wear it.
I can understand the women u know dont want to wear burqa or any kind or veil at all, but everybody is not like u those women.
and if u call it gender discrimination, do u know how much pain it causes the mother to give a birth. the pain of child birth is equivalent to 47 human bones broken simultaneously. Why only women should bear this pain.
If some day, somebody called it gender discrimination and said "Men should give birth as well"..
What will your "MODERATE" thinking will suggest.

Well all my points were in accordance with the topic.

But I will start from the beginning:

This is not acceptable for some governments like the French one and for me personally:

burqa-ban.jpg

-Because it tries to hide the female body and even the face as something that needs to be covered for nonsensical and borderline gender offensive reasons
- It violates the law. Covering your face in public like this is forbidden and a security threat.
- Conservative morons forcing their daughters, sisters or wives wearing this in a modern democratic country is simply unacceptable.

Strange why you and millions of others still try everything to move to those "immoral and barbaric" nations...

Anyways, whats the problem if women wear shorts in summer? Whats the problem with women wearing bikinis when going to take a swim?

I mean men basically go swimming in underwear as well... but I can hardly hear anyone crying about that.

This kind of twisted logic is simply straight out of the stone age.

And funny how people from third world countries describe first world countries as "barbaric"...... I have not heard about thousands of people getting killed in Europe because of religion and other communal issues.

I have not heard about so called "honour" killings committed by native British people.
Middle Age? LOL...

Here's how you look when applying the same logic to europeans from the perspective of civilized cultures of Islam

The other side of the coin is that women running around in two-piece cloth and almost completely naked is even beyond barbarism. It is going back from the stage of civilization to the stage of humanoids when humans did not even have developed-enough brains and were running around naked or with bunch of leaves on with no regards to the concept of privacy and decency of putting clothes on.

Moreover, behavior of animals---that is publicly start licking each other without disregard to the surrounding and privacy--when practiced by certain cultures also show the primitivity of respective cultures who aren't evolved enough to adapt the superior human civilization beyond the animistic urges of our species.

You see how utterly stupid you look while adapting your twisted logics?

Women have right to wear whatever they want to wear...or whatever they don't want to wear. This is civilization. The main thing here is choice. Government has no right to dictate someone's personal choices...

But then again, I don't expect much better. Afterall, Switzerland banned minaretes of Mosques because it scares them :rofl:

Sunni are now enjoying themselves in cult and shout human rights abuses when somebody rectify them. Shia have more brains. The highest Sunni authority rector of Al Azhar spoken out against Niqab.

Egypt purges niqab from schools and colleges - Telegraph

Dumbo, I didn't say Western nations are immoral or barbaric. Go back and try to comprehend the point I was trying to make.

Stop being fcuking stupid.

Anyways, whats the problem if women wear shorts in summer? Whats the problem with women wearing bikinis when going to take a swim?

No problem.

Again, go back and understand the point I was making..stupid *** LOL

This kind of twisted logic is simply straight out of the stone age.

Exactly.

Any logic that dictates that government should enforce personal choices of people is straight out of stone-age..and it is people like YOU who are living in stone-age and calling for government interference with women's choice of wearing whatever clothes they like--whether bikini or burka.

And yet, you live in a nation that sees itself as the leader of the Western world

United States IS the leader of Western World.

Without us, West is done as dinner. :enjoy:

Ironically its original purpose is supposed to "deflect" attention away from the female wearing it. Here in the UK they actually get far more attention, and of the worst negative kind e.g. cold hard stares, rude comments and so forth.

Isn't it better not to wear it then? o_O

Hijabs fit in quite nicely i.e. with Western ware and no on bats an eye lid.

Your comment is exactly part of the problem. You come from 3rd world ,barely functioning, still lacking basic infrastructure countries to Western Europe ,practicing 8th century customs in the 21st century and have the audacity to impose this on one the most prosperous, advanced civilisations on today's Earth.OPn top of that, you don't even reciprocate this in your own countries where no Westerner would ever dare to have the same rights as muslims in here.Well no,this is not going to work, adapt to European values, our countries, our rules.

Any logic that dictates that government should enforce personal choices of people is straight out of stone-age..and it is people like YOU who are living in stone-age and calling for government interference with women's choice of wearing whatever clothes they like--whether bikini or burka.

What's with the extremes, bikini or burqa ? Women have lots of choices, including lots who don't reveal skin but not making them look like from the 9th century caliphate.

If a westerner went to Pakistan and wore a bikini on the street would you still use the same argument? by your logic she should be allowed to wear it. It is not in line with cultural norms. I as a British muslim feel uncomfortable when I see a lady in a burqa, so how would the indigenous white population feel? If you don't like it, leave. There are many countries where you can freely wear it. This has nothing to do with Islam, it is a cultural phenomenon that represent opression. In some parts of Africa female circumcision still takes place- there is support amongst many females within the community to continue with the practice: by your logic we should allow it to continue because some women still want it? ridiculous

Your point regarding child birth is stupid. Men are physically unable to have children, I shouldn't need to educate you on this matter.

There are good reasons to ban this in the UK, not just because it's culturally insensitive to the vast majority but also because it is incredibly unhealthy! (+human rights etc...)

ooops

Now I see... havent read your post properly.

I take it back.

Even many muslims here says that there is nothing Islamic about Burka. So I guess there is nothing wrong in banning it for security reasons.

how is it against gender equality if the woman chooses to wear it???

i mean if they are banning burkas then they should ban ski masks, and scarfs that cover your face as well…… if you catch my drift…

Time and place. I have a few face coverings, useful for skiing, motorcycle riding in cold weather, etc. I don't wear them into businesses, or out on the street when there is no practical need to have the face covered. To do that would be deeply insulting and intimidating to the people around me.

The only facial covering that is acceptable is that which is done for a practical reason (protection from wind/cold/sun, etc). Doing it just so others can't see your face is very insensitive at the least. Even western bridal veils are way more see-through than the burka/niqab outfits i've seen. You can tell who your talking to.

And for others that keep bringing it up, nuns wear a covering that covers their hair, not their face. I grew up in a very conservative Christian sect, in which women wore head coverings. But covering the face would be dishonest in appearance.
