agreed , it should be first a success story and later on expansion. Otherwise whole purpose will evaporate in rivalry and rifts. Region is extremely backward and need rapid growth.

West has too many liabilities like free healthcare, education and incentives for jobless. They have purchasing power with high per capita income and low population to support in case of disaster.

They also have low cost of maintaining borders unlike Asia. The comparison of first world economy and third world economy is useless.

You mentioned third world country and automatically everyone around the world will think of India. China has the world first class facilities now, best and longest roads, railways, ports, airports, bridges, subways...you name it and China is almost always on the top spot. Wake up to the reality now, your mind is stuck in the 196o's.

China's infrastructure is second to none, now is far ahead of any countries on this planet, China is the world biggest trading nation, industrial nation, manufacturing nation,consumes half of world major raw materials,holds one third of world's total foreign reserve... tell me another China like "third world" country, can you?
