#Breaking: Trump de-certifies Iran nuclear deal, announces more sanctions against Iran

Why is everyone in here acting like the deal was suddenly over. Everything that was announced today was old news mostly. The real news about the nuclear deal is yet to come. The deal has been pushed to congress and they have 60 days to act which will be interesting. The republicans and Trump control the house, senate and congress but have failed so far to pass any substantial legislation and every thing so far has been shot down and blocked. The Republicans have only 2 votes over the Democrats and some Republicans have shown support for the Deal. So the following weeks will be interesting in the US congress and Politics will certainly be juicy to follow.

There won't be different because the last time you paid half in rupee and half in gold and this time there won't be oil sanction as that is against chips and Israel don't want it scrapped.

It's more complicated than that.
For one I believe it's still just a symbolic move(mostly due to his campaign promises) since Trump didn't ask Congress to re-impose sanctions against Iran immediately. Had he done that, then it would have been more serious and far-reaching.

He didn't say he will pull out of the deal either, he merely wants to add new requirements in the deal, since he thinks the deal wasn't robust enough and that it was more one sided in favour of Iran( depends on who you ask though)

Thirdly , if Trump asks Congress to re-impose economic sanctions and Congress complies then the E.U and even other powers would reluctantly have to follow suit (maybe not openly), since E.U and other world powers have farrrrrr more economic and financial stake in the U S than Iran(who is still a closed country for foreign Investors anyway). No country would want to jeopardize their economic interests in the world's largest market/economic power for a small country (economically) like Iran. So it will affect any big company in the world who has access to U.S market or links to U S financial market , and believe me it's hard to find a major country/company that doesn't. So these companies would have no Choice but to follow suit like they did in the past when Iran was under sanctions.

So we can only hope things won't get to this point. I think this deal can still work though, even with a tweek.
