Breaking: Taliban claims it shot down US B-52 strategic bomber in Afghanistan

.
consequences for both Taliban and innocent t Afghani people who will face carpet bombing .
You are right .. But problem is taliban not even considering them as a threat .. :partay:

.
1. B-52's don't operate out of Shorabak. It's a Marine garrison.

2. B-52's don't sortie out of Afghanistan.

3. It's been over 5 hours since this allegedly happened and there's been no independent reporting or confirmation.

Conclusion: BS.

u.s has been doing carpet bombing for 20yrs but result is zero .If it was effective taliban would have been ended by now.I think they may downed it during takeooff or landing at near u.s air base and taliban have downed u.s chinook helicopters multiple times in past so this is not something surprising.I think if downed plane wreckage is smuggled to russia or china then it would be much more painful for u.s

So day has come that stone age people with swords & stones claiming to shot down F35. Taliban just want to scare people even with trolling.

Not saying they did it --- but with the right tools, you can destroy even very sophisticated military hardware (case in point: TTP infiltration of a PAF base and destruction of PC-3 Orion.) While American bases are very heavily fortified, infiltration is not impossible (insider attacks, Camp Chapman case in point, etc.)

Also, primitive systems have downed sophisticated aircraft before (U2 spy plane + and of course the infamous F-117 Nighthawk stealth jet incident.)

This is big achievement by Taliban.

The incident purportedly took place when the aircraft was departing from the Shawrab Airbase in southern Afghanistan in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

US is not carpent bombing Afghanistan for the last 20 years - don't be naive. And this news is FALSE.

US-led forces subjected Afghanistan to major levels of firepower in the first two months of the war to topple Taliban-led regime in Afghanistan; thousands of Taliban-affiliates perished during this time, and a small number of survivors fled to Pakistan with the exception of Mullah Omar who retired to his place-of-birth and remained elusive ever since. This WAR changed its course and character afterwards because Al-Qaeda Network and Taliban-affiliates transitioned into elusive forces and COIN operations took precedence accordingly. Obama administration called off a large proportion of troops from Afghanistan in 2014 after defeating Al-Qaeda Network in the region.

At present, US-backed Afghan government is experiencing a 'crisis of legitimacy' due to its corruption and inability to provide justice to the masses; scores of Afghans now look up to the resurgent Taliban (shadow governors) to address their woes consequently. US is understandably frustrated and wants out.

----

If US had been carpent bombing Afghanistan for the last 20 years, it would have poisoned regional environment to large extent by now and millions (crores) would have been really sick consequently due to spread of depleted uranium and other forms of hazardous materials. Do the math, bro.

If true it's the time to go home, if not long past due. The Russians are taking it to the next level...
