This is incorrect information. Soviet gold aid did not play a vital role. As a matter of fact, this was not soviet commie gold either.
The incoming gold did not belong to the Soviet treasury. It was not the Russian aid, it was the gold of the Bukhara Emirates. So its a Uzbek commun's help. This was one of the conditions of Bukhara's participation in the soviets. Moreover, only 10% of the money from the Bukhara treasury has reached Anatolia. The amount allocated from the treasury of Bukhara Emirate for Turkish aid was approximately 100 million rubles. The cash aid reaching Anatolia was nearly 10 million rubles. Other parts were stolen by the Communist party. Russian troops and the Red Bukharans, undergo a great plunder in Bukhara for three days following the invasion. Finally, after the looting was over, the occupation commander of Turkistan began to collect the looted treasure from the soldiers in return for signature. Very few of the remaining treasure has reached Anatolia.
Osman Hodja, the first and last president of the Republic of Bukhara, explained this issue in detail, with his book. In addition, Uzbek historian-writer Nabican Bakiyev documented how confiscation of Emir's treasure, in his book "The Testament of Enver Pasha", which he used Soviet intelligence archives.
In a nutshell a delegation went to Moscow from Turkey, yes, but Moscow has been reluctant to give assistance as requested. Osman Kocaoğlu met Lenin in Moscow and created this agreement. However, no condition of the agreement was fulfilled as expected.
In the history of the establishment of the Soviets, there is nothing but genocide, looting and deception. The approach to Turkey was based on entirely political interests. Of course, even here, they did not refrain from taking their own tribute.
