PM condemns the attack on the Afghanistan Parliament

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has condemned the attack on the Afghanistan Parliament.

"The attack on the Afghanistan Parliament is a despicable and cowardly act. There is no place for such attacks in a democracy.

My prayers are with those injured. We stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Afghanistan in this hour", the Prime Minister said.

Taliban listen to no one , neither America , nor India , nor Pakistan , nor the sitting Afghan government .. they have their own agenda , they bled Pakistan in FATA all these years using weapons, human resource and funds from whoever and wherever they could , after many large scale operations Pakistan has now been able to bring the situation under control on Pakistan's side of the Durand line

Now Taliban are focusing on Afghanistan and I doubt if anyone , despite accusations and claims , has any influence on them ... if Afghan government wants to bring order , they either have to accommodate the Taliban in government or do better policing and operations on its side of the Durand line to eliminate Taliban.

Time of acquisitions and finger pointing is over, things should be abundantly clear after more than 14 years of conflict in the region.

if Afghan parliament is built by india and symbolizes indian involvement in Afghanistan then why don't you send some of those uber special indians to guard it as well ? Karzai made many requests to india to supply arms and ammunitions and even deploy indian units and battalions to help but india wanted to remain hidden and use chankiya tacticts, so now is the time to send in those indian paratroopers to swoop down on these Taliban and show solidarity

Daud Khan was number one enemy of Pakistan , under him Afghanistan even tried to invade Bajur to cause rebellion, Pakistan always extended hand of friendship to Afghanistan even when the hostilities from Afghanistan were continuous, eventually when Daud Khan came around to make peace , he got disposed off , other factors were also there but his trip to Islamabad was a key turning point )

So as it was said earlier , President Ghani should watch his back , this is just what might happen to him also

All Pakistan seeks is an Afghanistan that is not hostile towards Pakistan and does not create security situations along the Durand line

Regional players like india and iran want this to be otherwise so do some international players including but not limited to the United Kingdom , which has a long history of interference in the region and also the United States which after its own failure in the region wants to ignite an Iraq like situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan

When you hold talks and talk of peace with Taliban you are recognizing them as a legitimate entity which comes them power and propaganda value. They are neither honorable nor reliable and can turn back to their violent ways once they get the time to re-group like they did in Pakistan.

If they offer to surrender then amnesty can be granted and individuals can be integrated but holding talks as equals is a folly
