Totally agreed but MI 35 was more required for deployment of special forces.

Both Z-10 and T-129 will be acquired soon on a fast push.

I dont know why every one is pushing mi 35 for special forces deployment, you can deploy foces via standard transport helicopters... and that too in large numbers...

MI 35 is better because with standard transport helicopter you need and extra escort and thus you need to use more assets and more personals

Because the standard transport helos lacks proper protection against attack , MI-35 with its superior firepower along with transport facility solve those problem .

Pakistan has decided the to open the LC to transfer money to Russia on Urgent basis.
In the wake of anti terrorism operations with in and across border the Gov has decided to increase the budget of Military institutions and push the procurement of weapons and technology.
Russian authorities have been contacted for speedy deliveries and they have agreed to give first priority on the bases of anti terrorism efforts by Pakistani forces. Russian president Vladimir Putin called the PM of Pakistan to condemn the recent terror events.
Pakistan Gov will open LC on urgent basis and deliveries will be made to Pakistani forces with in days. The new Mi 35 will help Pakistani operations against terrorists. These helicopters will provide Pakistan with ground attack capabilities and deployment of special forces to conduct operations against terrorists along Pak Afghan border.

Better late ten never I think when you ordered MI-35 should push for rapid delivery as fight against terrorism was gong on .

Initial 4 cost was app 150 million so must include training and support set up etc additional units may not cost as much since training and setup sink cost already incured

Agree no other attack helo provide same capability 8 fully eqpt troops plus attack in one package, a 4 ship deploys a platoon of 32 with lots of fire power for a mission with onboard armor protection


Plus I think the engine is basically same as mil17 so repair /overhaul in country already addressed

What about building strongholds a long the Afghan Border every 100km maned by a FC-Brigade, than build stronghold every 50km for a company size maned by a Company, than build every 10km a post manned by a platoon, every post is connect via road, every Brigade stronghold has Tanks,Artillery and a Helipad. All post can communicate with each other and call for Artillery and Air strikes. So 80-90 % of the movement can be controlled by this Border patrolls and posts, additionals to this, we need a Border Wall etc.

I believe apart from helicopters, Artillery will need to be purchased as well especially modern howitzers with GPS guided artillery shells for precision strikes.

Pakistan in future should buy those transport helicopters which can be armed also. In modern war sending a helicopter without weapons is stupidity. As for Artillery Shells we are already using those. They were also recently used against Indian Army on LOC.
