Breaking: Fidayeen Attack on CRPF Convoy in Anantnag South Kashmir

Too bad it's only 3. Now India can't "take action," because it won't cause public outcry (the value of their ego is higher than the value of their soldier's lives).
What actions did they ever take or they are capable of....
The farce surgical strikes was just a ploy to get Modi into office again....if Indians had a nerve they would have tried to salvage some respect after the 27th humiliation.

A breakthrough in resources for militants. It is without a doubt their biggest issue is weapons and ammo, Modi's policy has seen recruitment become easier for them with more and more people believing that the only solution is a violent one. Should an insurgency rise in Kashmir, India won't be going to war with Pakistan until its put down. And an insurgency can very well be hard to deal with, specially in mountainous regions.
That would be a breakthrough, and one that depends entirely on the Pakistani military, but can they do it without CIA and Pentagon backing ? The Indian army in Kashmir is not some foreign expeditionary force in unfamiliar conditions like the Russians were, supply chains are rock solid, they know the conditions, have the lay of the land and that mountainous terrain well.

Pak could try this militarily but I think it will end very badly for the jihadi rebels. Not likely to happen, though, for a number of reasons...

Despite the nasty nature of armed and religious armed conflict, we here in the subcontinent still play a bit of a gentleman's game. This is not a wild jungle like the middle east  where those 3 guys openly support proxies and conflict against one another all over the region.. manpads, improvised rockets, ieds, atgms, armored vehicles, mlrs, beheader jihadis, heart eating jihadis, psycho jihadis.. sab kuch chalega

The Pulwama IED was a big deal as far as rebel capabilities/tactics go this but it is not really an advanced technology. Let's see where this goes..

Geopolitically also, Pakistan will not be able to get away if they supercharge this insurgency. Advanced weapons will be easily traced back, unlike Pakistan, we don't border lawless war ravaged and an 'easy weapons' junkyard like you have to deal with your neighbour, Afghanistan.

Russia will have none of it, China will have none of it (they are very 'hands off' when it comes to the Kashmir issue), Uncle Sam will definitely have none of it, OIC guys have a good economic partnership with India and no disputes with us. Only the craziest "martyrdom" loving retarded jihadis will stick their necks out for such a misadventure.

Again, it's not the middle east.. you are not Turkey or Iraq or Israel etc where Uncle Sam goes along with their regional ambitions where it suits them.

If left to you, would you go that route for ideological reasons anyway ? Think about it, man. If you create a Syria in the valley a lot of people are going to be caught in the crossfire.. we will bring a lot more firepower than the Russians etc have brought into Syria.

In RPG terms, India is like a monster warrior build with all the weapons and armour upgraded, the most powerful squadmates, and nonstop health regeneration (death by thousand cuts attack is weak and will not work). The Kashmir jihadis are a pesky level 1 insects.

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.

First of all we have absolutely huge amounts of weaponry we could smuggle across. The MQM caches we found buried in Karachi alone could fund a small war. These are used weapons from all over the world, not Pakistani origin weapons. There is plenty of plausible deniability on the supply of these weapons, you have a huge coast line, they could have been smuggled in by anyone.

Secondly, we don't need to provide advanced ATGM's, IED's are the name of the game. You might have all the tanks in the world, but you only have a few roads they can travel along, Kashmir is steep, not some flat land you can race across. Convoys will always be easy targets, as will main highways and bridges.

Aircraft are only useful when swathes of territory are controlled by militants. How many bombing runs were done in Baghdad or in towns and cities of FATA for that matter? You have to have a target to hit, these guys don't have bases. Also in those mountains, helicopters are easy pickings too, if you boys don't shoot them yourselves.

The politics is the hard part - getting allies to agree. Mind you they disagreed in Afghanistan, didn't seem to stop us there did it? We used American dollars to pretend to fight a war against America's enemies whilst secretly funding the same enemies with the same money.

There is also something else you under-estimate. You're not the only ones who can escalate. If you think you bomb Kashmiri's in srinagar, Indians will be safe in Delhi, Mumbai etc? Of course it'd escalate with innocent people paying the price. Talk of war dies down when you leave the door every day wondering if you'll come back home. Pakistani's speak from experience - that's why our PM talks about peace.

India's only in house quality and I mean " in house " to them selves only is - nach gana, fake media, Bollywood films, chai wala leader, pathetic / coward armed forces that lie about won battles to their own public and a lot of hateful behind the screen hero's that talk a lot of BS. Known to the world as the world's biggest rapist capital raping not only humans ( females ) but also poor animals the animals don't even have peace of mind lol lamo what a pathetic nation :P

We never pretend anything. We know how hard we can hit across the border. We did and we will do it again in future.
You just pretend and be happy like we hit some trees and crows.
And what is the proofs that India had about this incident in Kashmir from cross border militants, India always playing a dirty game anything in big terrorist event in IOK blame it to Pakistan without single solid proof, why you (india) don't consider it could be from local freedom fighters @The BrOkEn HeArT

Two different eras. Today's political and military realities ensure that India (and Pakistan for that matter) will not be partitioned again.

Up to the Indian government how to best deal with this jihadi nuisance, which is all it will ever be. They are not even a full fledged insurgency.
" they won't survive a month, " ~ Ganga politicians, August 1947

Now the Kashmir resistance movement entered a new phase where they are now going for massive kills , suicide attacks . India before blaming Pakistan should look into their own policies and treatment of Kashmiri people . It will get worse with Time, only way to solve the issue and stop the bloodshed is to sit and talk , All parties involved India , Pakistan , Kashmiri people and China .
