BRAVE S.S.G COMMANDO

Tha t was indeed brave and needed part of their training. India also follows similiar training tactics.

. . .
Not at all a good idea. I would say stupid idea and responsibles should be taken to task

.
Well i have seen Islamabad women police anti terrorist squad in such drills.:cheesy:

. .
Nothing out of ordinary, I believe the SSG practice this drill as part of their training except it's done in a room where one guy sits on a chair with a target on top of his head and the SSG guys enter the room and shoot the target using MP-5s.

. .
The guy sitting on chair is wearing a elite force Punjab Police shirt. @F.O.X is right it's not SSG, It's civilian commandos.

They are not SSG or Punjab Police or Marines, they are ATS of Islamabad Police. The range is in Islamabad police lines off Kashmir Highway...

The guy taking the bullets on top of his head is an instructor I think and the guy shooting is also a instructor, the best shooter in the joint as per a member on this forum.

This happens during every course AFAIK. And all this is live...

.
There is a very thin line between bravery and stupidity.
Spot on! This is more like stupidity than anything else. As they say, discretion is the better part of valor. What was he trying to prove? He is just attempting to be a hero. And that's nothing to do with whether he has balls or not!

Just a tradition that has been going for numerous courses, this happens only once per course as I understand. Although I understand your POV, but this is the stuff that happens in elite units.

Ok, but let's say a gust of wind or an elbow shake results in knocking that guy's head off? Will the shooter be booked for murder/culpable homicide not amounting to murder as per the PPC? And that would be curtains for the instructor. Instead of leading an SSG platooon or company, he would be leading a group of convicts incarcerated in jail!
