That is not what Europe think, they know it could end mankind because Russia can not be defeated as.

Leaving nukes aaide, yes they can be if there's a ww3. And Europe has learned it's lessons, they don't want anymore wars that's the reason there's a peace.

Have you seen fear in Europe when they ask US to deploy troops near Russia?

There is no alternative to Assad regime for regional nations and international ones. Attack will not be anymore significant than last if it happens. Russia will not do anything. Cease fire's will be maintained. Nothing will change in Syria. Calls for formation of new government will be made, that's it.

Don't know what people here are anticipating.

Russia won't commit suicide over Syria; this much I understand.

Besides;

Russia has a fielded a large nuclear force but falls short in "delivery mechanisms." US can cut Russian nuclear force to much smaller size with [preemptive] decapitating nuclear strikes (if it has to). Remainder will be manageable.

Even a nuclear war can go wrong for a country. No point in this sabre-rattling excercise.

That's not fear but the way of telling Russians who can join with them, do you think Russia can invade Europe ?? Leave the Americans. There's no way... Quantity not always win war, Not in today's scenario.. Europe has enough places from where they can squeeze Russians. If US joins in it's another level, the process may take long time but fall of Federation is sure with Russia has no Economy

I have Masters in it dear and it was also to some extent part of my job too.

Don't underestimate the bear, it's up to bear what stand it want to take or just stay away from engaging in military operations.
