Boeing Ends contract with HAL over poor quality of production

. .
it is the latest development, prove your claim of Boeing looking to expand in india.

Yes indeed they are EXPANDING into indian market. HAL a behemoth-not so efficient also manufactures a lot of other structural components for boeing and airbus. Some of the other components being manufactured by HAL for export are-
1)gun bays for F-18
2)F/R door for boeing 737
3)F/R door for airbus 320
HAL ready to make more doors for Airbus | Business Standard News

I have seen some of their manufacturing assemblies that are not so secretive.
In fact,it will come to you as a surprise that HAL has a full fledged, Engine design(AERDC) and aircraft design centre(ARDC) that have produced a lot of stuffs that you perhaps choose to overlook?
In recent times,AERDC has realized a 25kN twin spool low bypass turbofan engine almost completely by 3D PRINTING. -I saw it on the test bed.
In some of the projects though the HAL struggles to keep up with the quality because it too has to source a lot of components from other indian companies.
If you read this article, you would have realized that boeing is not terminating their business in india but changing the partner with which they engage- from HAL to some other private entity

At least the OP news proved HAL are crapped. Even new firm in India proves better than HAL. So pathetic HAL is. There show the quality of anything produced by HAL :enjoy:

HAL is not well managed, fortunately Pvt sector is being given a bigger role in development of Defense Items
Also there are very good Public sector orgs like ISRO & DMRC(the Public company who built Delhi metro)

TATA entered the sector in 07, got their first break in 09. I posted this before, but this is what they've done in this short period of time.

Like I said, keep an eye on these firms. They will be the future integrators and module makers for future defence aerospace programs as well.

Mahindra, Reliance, several, several more are enter this sector.

I myself have posted that several times before, forget the OP.

@Beast take a look at this, this is what TATA managed to build in 2 years

It's probably not just that, but it's also probably hard to deal, and work with a state owned company like HAL. Boeing basically gave out some test contracts to up coming private firms early on, and are now expanding with them, instead of expanding with HAL in India, for the must part that is.

Sir its another way of summarizing what most of ppl here are saying.Agreed.
