III aircraft to the Indian Air Force (IAF), with one

Bt i hope MODs will soon order the follow on for 6 else it'll suffer the same fate as M777 guns as C-17s production lines r also nearing closure n Indian order will possibly be the last order.

Great news, Any idea on where this aircraft will operate from?

If I am not wrong then first C-17 sqd (5 aircrafts) will be operated from Hindon airbase near Delhi while second sqd will go somewhere in Eastern command (probably from Bagdogra airbase, Siliguri).

most likely,closing M-777 production lines willn't affect India to procure it.but yes,we shouldn't delay and fast track for follow on orders.
