I do not consider it critique but rather an observation and result of statistics.
As an outsider i know less about the intricacies of America than you who are Americans are able to observe, obviously. Thats why i sincerely would like to hear yours and other americans opinion.
Fine. It is not about guns. The vast majority of gun owners are law abiding. A major problem is culture, specifically the black culture. I know it is politically incorrect and vulnerable to the charge of racism, but even blacks acknowledged that theirs is a cultural problem. Am not saying that all gun related incidents belongs to the black community, but look at the gangs related shooting just for starter.
Here is a sample...Jesse Jackson is a famous black activist and one time presidential aspirant.

"There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then (I) look around and see someone white and feel relieved."
Yes, Jesse Jackson, a prominent black man, is afraid of his fellow blacks. He was relieved that a white person was behind him.
". . . We've got the power right now to stop killing each other. . . . There is a code of silence, based upon fear. Our silence is a sanctuary for killers and drug dealers. There must be a market revolt. The victim has to rise up."
Jackson had no choice but say what is forbidden to whites to say.
In Chicago, the majority of murders involve blacks killing other blacks. Many are kids. And black-on-white crime is more common than the opposite.
And it has changed little since 1993 when journalist Mike Royko wrote that article. For Chicagoans, it is still black-on-black crimes that dominates their lives. Similar for Los Angeles or New York City or Baltimore.
