No, wife and daughter were. It was a very loud blast, and happened only a few hundred yards away.

Very unhappy, but realise that this is the price that we have to pay, as ordinary citizens, and that we have to stay calm, and not get provoked.

Most of all, we need to await definite news of who the perpetrators were. Was it at all a terror attack? Was it a terror attack by the IM, or an external group? If an external group, who? Any speculation now is not going to help.

it was an IED as reported by media.......and in boston also it was reported as IED.......so is there any connection b/w these 2???
glad that no one died...and media reported that blast was so strong that some pieces of bomb's projectile were spread upto 1km....

Even Boston blash had on similarity to Mumbai train blast (Pressure cooker bomb). I hope CIA/FBI come to India and nab the masterminds.. Kongreess will not act in fear of loosing Vote (Vote Bank will be damage if Kongress touch any terrorist)

But the good news is... No one lost life..... In that matter bangalore is lucky... there few blasts but the causalities were not as bad as in other places...

A "terror attack" by "muslim radicals" on a "hindu" party on the eve of the polls is likely to polarize opinions, to some extent.

The writer, a former IG Police of Maharashtra, SM Mushrif, has reconstructed a fearsome
picture out of former Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare’s chargesheet against alleged
Hindutva terrorists like Lt. Col. Purohit, Sadhvi Pragyasingh Thakur and others.


The power establishment that really runs the affairs of this country (Mushrif says it is not Sonia
Gandhi, Manmohan Singh or Rahul Gandhi) does not want to expose the Hindutva terrorists.
One example is the blasts in Samjhauta Express, which the IB said was carried out by
Pakistan’s ISI. Mushrif quotes a report in The Times of India that said, “the Centre had blamed
the ISI on the basis of the IB’s findings.” However, during a narco-analysis test under Karkare,
Lt. Col. Purohit had admitted having supplied the RDX used in the blast. The IB, which draws its
power from its proximity to the Prime Minister (its director briefs the PM every morning for half
an hour), did not want Karkare’s investigation that blew the cover off the IB’s shenanigans, to
continue.
