Hello All,
My name is Otsuka and I am a new joiner to this forum.
I would like to know your opinion of Pakistan's role in Black September - which I understand to be a massacre of around 25,000 (numbers are disputed though) Palestians in Jordon in 1970 under Zia ul Haq.

Do you feel this a stain on Pakistan army's record or do you see nothing wrong with this, also from an Ummah perspective, how do you feel about this?

Regards
Otsuka

Well that is a black stain not only on army but also on Pakistan and that is the reason Pakistan refuse to send forces in Yemen.

And on Zia. after that accident he was called back and there was inquiry on him on his involvement in the Massacre of Palestinians and later he along with some other were put on list to court martial them, but someone save him on 11th hour and rest is a history.

Jordanians asked us on state to state level.
By the time we pulled back when irregularities were made known and pressure grew at home.

Pakistan Army is a professional institute.

When Palestinians get a state we can offer our condolences for the world to see.

Hello there, thanks for your view.
Do you think the Black September incident should be talked about in our schools and media channels in order to learn lessons from the past or should the subject be taboo as it currently seems to be?
Thanks
Otsuka

Once again.

Black white or grey is not a question.

Its history.

Ask the Jordanians and the socialists.

Hello there, I appreciate English is not your first language, so please allow me to elaborate.
The colour denoting to the massacre is not in question here!
I am asking should Pakistani society be discussing this bloody historical event to educate the new generation or sweep it under the carpet?
I know very few Pakistanis who are even aware of this incident, hence why I think it should be talked about more.

The Jordanian government requested the Pakistani government to help deal with the problem. The Pakistani government had already stationed there a brigade in charge of training of the Jordanians.

This is not a taboo and most of the people interested in Pakistan's foreign policy know about this and are free to discuss this in any forum they please. If you ask them they will probably say that Pakistan helped Jordan when its sovereignty was under threat.

The only education our young generation needs is when Jordanians needed Pakistan, we were there to help.

Were Pakistan's Army personnel involved in the killing of 25000 Palestinians?, I am reading up on this event and it says only Zia Ul Haq and some other 20 senior officers were stationed there from 1967 to 1970, helping in the training of Jordanian soldiers and he was doing his job as he was stationed there for three years before the start of the event, so how come this event will be a stain on Pakistan's Army's history because our Army wasn't even there?

Following the June 1967 military debacle, the Arabs requested Pakistan for military training. Pakistan sent training contingents to Syria, Jordan and Iraq, now if something happens in Syria, Jordan and Iraq then Pakistan should not be blamed for it and if that truly should be the case then please don't ask for our help period, we did the right thing when it came to Yemen and we would have done the right thing in Jordan against Palestine too had we known that such an event would arise three years down the road.

During the entire event Pakistan had no military presence and none of our personnel's were actively involved against the massacre of Palestinians.

So who commanded the 2nd Division of the Jordanian Army during that massacre?

We do not support any murder , zia was a dictator imposed by america to break russia.
So we do not support any of his doings.

From ummah perspective he did awful things , he was brain less tard.
