Urdu is being systematically erased in india due to it being associated with Muslims, Mughals, etc. Urdu names of towns, cities, roads, schools, are being renamed. Urdu words are being forcefully changed into sanskrit, muslim urdu speakers are being demonized as outsiders or invaders, etc. I wonder if Urdu will even exist in the future or if the radical hindutva's will just say it's copied from hindi and erase it.
