BJP embarrassed again as RSS claims Hindus should 'weigh and assess their power'

I see Hindutva as the BJP sees Hindutva. As shared inclusive cultural nationalism. They have clearly spelled the same out N number of times in their manifestos and official website and papers by various senior leaders.

If still one wants to take a jaundiced view and have this unexplained phobia of Hindutva as some sort of fascist ideology akin to Hindu Naziism, then its probably in the eyes and mind of the jaundiced more than it is in that of India's leadership.
so when they say 'Hindu', they're merely referencing a geographical region, not a religion ?

BJP is very cognizant and respectful of (and in sync with) our Supreme Court's ruling on the same.

Till such time as that ruling is not reviewed and/or amended or modified, I do not see any change in their public stand on the same.

A simple Google should suffice for both - the BJP as well as the Supreme Court.

As a law student have you read what the SC of India has to say about who is a Hindu, what is Hinduism, and what is Hindutva, and the related text?

Obviously I cannot claim to have read it all, I'm still studying but as far as my knowledge goes, neither SC nor the Constitution defines who's a Hindu (I'm referring to Hindu as a religion or as a community, not Hindutva as a way of life), except you can find the definition in a few Hindu laws so as to know the group to which that act applies, that's it.

@ashok mourya I get your point, but we were used to be referred to as 'Hindus' when we didn't have our Constitution, in fact we didn't even choose to be called Hindus. The term for it is Indians, or Bharatiya now. Why not use it instead?

Either way, peace everyone

Why don't you then read the link I posted above? Should explain clearly the stand of the Supreme Court, as well as that of the BJP, on the same.

That is your opinion, and as such you are welcome to it.

It however is not shared by the apex court of the land, which is what I give (slightly) greater credence to in the matter.

The issue is not his implicit support to Ghar Wapsi only, but many other RSS statements and actions. Not on one occasion has he categorically disapproved the statements being issued by the leaders and chief of an organization which holds a significant influence on the ruling party.

LOL.... now you suddenly says its not about his implicit support. That was a quick U Turn.

Why should he categorically disapprove the statements issued by the leaders of RSS ? :cheesy: ....... I am quite sure he believes in free speech and personal liberty.

Besides being from RSS himself, he is pretty sure to carry similar value system and understanding of India.

IB has stated multiple reports on how some of these media receive foreign money in order to spread venom against the PM and the nationalist groups. Don't know what Doval is doing about this.

I am sure he is doing the needful. Certainly far more than the previous congress govt. would ever have done.

These should be sped up. Bangladeshi illegal issue should also be solved asap.
Ghar Wapsi can also be made state sponsored - with incentives. Even from foreign religions to atheism. :enjoy:
Congress Mukt Bharat should be made a reality. The Congressi terror support network should be eliminated - physically if necessary.
